Everything was clean and well-maintained. The hotel has a quirky/artsy/fun vibe to it. It's in an old building, so the bathroom layout was a little non-standard, but all the fixtures were modern and worked great. The lobby is very small, as is the elevator (our group of 3 with suitcases had to split into 2 rides), but it all works. The staff was cheery and helpful when we checked in, for the one or two other questions we had. They offered us candies every time we interacted with them. The hotel was in a great location, just a few minutes walk from all the sightseeing spots we were there for. On-site parking was a plus too.

A very comfortable stay. The best things were the convenient location and the simplicity, without compromising on quality. The staff were very friendly, and the room offered everything needed without unnecessary extras. A particular highlight was the air conditioning during this week of high temperatures.
One small suggestion: adding English translations to the breakfast labels would be helpful.
Overall, highly recommended — and I would happily stay here again

I had an outstanding experience at Park Hotel Post. The single room was small but well-arranged and very comfortable. Breakfast was high quality with good variety, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The proximity of the hotel to the university, Altstadt, and train station is ideal. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay in the heart of Freiburg. The staff was great, as was the daily breakfast. The historic building was charming and conveniently located near the train station.

Short story: As a confirmed and prepaid room was not available at the Park Hotel Post Freiburg upon our timely arrival for check in, I would give the hotel zero stars, if that was an option.
Long story: We found and booked the Park Hotel Post Freiburg on Expedia and booked and prepaid it for 2 nights. We received the booking confirmation on April 22. When we arrived on May 11th in the late afternoon to check in, we were informed by the receptionist, that they don’t have a room for us at the Park Hotel. They had booked us at a “sister” hotel (completely different style of hotel) without informing/asking for our consent. He was very sorry for the inconvenience.
