Small but fine...and incredibly lovable staff
The location is sensational. Great view from the balcony room.
The rooms are comparatively small but very clean, bathroom ok, there is nothing to complain about.
Price performance is really good.
Great excursion destinations nearby (Neuchâtel, Himmenlsscheibe, Naumburg, Memmleben etc)
The best thing is the incredibly nice staff, who are always confident, helpful and super friendly even in stressful situations. Great performance. Thank you.

Peace and quiet amidst the vineyards
Wonderful views and spacious balcony. Rooms are clean and adequately equipped. Bathroom new and very clean. Beds comfortable. I would love to pronounce i entire hotel smoking ban, uncomfortable if the neighboring balcony smokes! The staff could wait until 7:30 to move the patio furniture! Otherwise nice accommodation!

Hotel management: ONE star, service personnel: FIVE Stars
We had booked with dog (12.00 euros per night for him).
There is a sign at the hotel entrance that reads:
"All dogs (even the little cute ones) unfortunately have to stay outside. (applies in the restaurant)."
The managers of the hotel do not know about dogs, otherwise they would know that dogs left in the strange room sometimes jump into the beds out of fear to at least have the smell of their people, that they might jump up at the doors when trying to run after them or that they bark after them. The best solution would be: the dog is allowed to eat and lies under the table of his people. We talked to the service staff and we were offered an extra room where we could eat in peace; our dog was there and slept in his corner. Everyone was very friendly to us and made us feel welcome. The food at the vineyard school is sensational and the mood is cheerful and casual.
The next joke is that fees per towel are due for daily towel changes and are also attributable to the management. We Trips a lot and don't know anyone who is lavish with hotel laundry. In all other hotels you are politely asked to use the towels as many times as possible for the sake of the environment - which also works out well, by the way.
I don't want to be educated (about towels) but treated as the adult and responsible person that I am and certainly believe that most people feel the same way.
Also, I would have found it more honest if this hotel would not admit dogs in the first place. You don’t have to like dogs, but you should also stand by them and communicate this sensibly.
So the hotel management gets one star from me, the employees five for it; they are committed, warm and obviously blessed with a lot of joy in their work. They ironed out everything that the hotel management missed or simply did not handle well and I would like to thank you again very much for everything.

Wir kommen gerne wieder
Wir fanden es sehr schön und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Super Ausblick vom Balkon. Und es war im Hotel sehr sauber und das Personal war hilfsbereit und nett. Essen war auch sehr gut und man konnte entspannt auf der Terrasse mit Ausblick essen.
Zu Fuß braucht man circa zwanzig Minuten ins Zentrum von Freyburg oder zum Schloss.

Schöne Lage mit miserablem Zimmerservice und Sauberkeitsproblem
Wir haben 5 Nächte in dem wunderschön in den Weinbergen gelegenen Hotel verbracht. Sowohl das Frühstück, als auch die Qualität der Speisen im Restaurant waren gut und nicht zu beanstanden.
Der Zimmerservice hingegen war miserabel und verdient die Schulnote „ungenügend“! Damit der Balkon von uns genutzt werden konnte, mußte ich schon am Anreisetag darum bitten, doch die vielen Spinnweben zu entfernen und die mit eingetrocknetem Vogelkot total verunreinigte Balkonbrüstung zu säubern. Die Spinnweben wurden entfernt, der Vogelkot, der dort offensichtlich schon seit langer Zeit liegt, blieb unangetastet. An 2 Tagen fand gar kein Zimmerservice statt, d.h. es wurden keine Betten gemacht, das Bad nicht gereinigt, kein Abfall entfernt. An einem Tag wurde lediglich 1 Bett gemacht, das andere jedoch nicht. Aber auch an den Tagen, an denen Zimmerservice stattfand, wurden mehrfach die verschmutzten Handtücher auf dem Boden nicht entfernt, die Abfalleimer nicht geleert, leere Getränkeflaschen nicht weggeräumt, die Toilettenpapierreserve nicht ersetzt, und auch das tote Insekt im Bad lag am Abreisetag immer noch da, wo ich es schon nach der ersten Übernachtung entdeckt hatte. Am dritten Tag bat ich nochmals höflich darum, den Vogelkot der Balkonbrüstung zu entfernen, denn diese ist nicht nur ekelhaft und unappetitlich, sondern stellt ein idealer Nährboden für Bakterien und Vieren dar. Trotz Zusage passierte nichts! Das Haus hat ganz offensichtlich ein gravierendes Problem mit der Sauberkeit!!!
