A great experience at Hotel Kranz

We stayed at Hotel Gasthaus Kranz while visiting relatives in the area, and reserved two rooms for our family members. We live in Columbus Ohio and this was our first family trip to the area. This place was wonderful and we can't wait to go back for another stay. The rooms were nice, and exceptionally clean and well maintained. The beds and bedding very comfortable. It was centrally located in town, and our kids loved exploring all the fun shops, cafes, and sights nearby. We comfortably slept with the windows open and didn't hear any significant noise from our top floor room. There was plenty of parking available.
We looked forward to the amazing breakfast each day, and the family meals we had in the evening were delicious. We loved how the dining room buzzed with energy, and the local residents were friendly.
Jonas and the entire team were amazing hosts, and treated us so well. They were friendly, helpful, and family-oriented. Booking was easy, and they're very responsive. The prices entirely reasonable and a terrific value. Our entire experience was a 10.

An outstanding house with super Service

Last weekend I was a guest at the Hotel Kranz with our club. We were very satisfied all around, from reception to farewell.
We want to pay special praise to the excellent cuisine, as well as to the restaurant staff. The food was excellent and was highly praised by all my guests.
The breakfast buffet was very well stocked and above all the boss of the house was always there to accommodate and fulfill special requests.
We want to say a warm "thank you" to everyone and recommend this house to others.

Great

Great hotel. Top service and great breakfast (scrambled eggs, rolls, croissants, etc.). Great team where everyone helps out (even boss Petra and Jonas). Rooms are well maintained and in very good condition. Everything you need is in the room.

Everything was perfect, I would definitely come again

We booked at very short notice and were very surprised by the very friendly welcome. The room + bathroom in the guest house was very nice and above all very clean.
The food in the associated Gasthaus Stier was very tasty and really recommendable.
Despite it being closed on Sundays, we were served a very good breakfast.
The service and the ambience are highly recommended.
Very good value for money.
This was definitely not the last time we stayed at the Hotel Kranz, especially since the Höri and the various excursion destinations can be reached in a short time by car, bus and train.
Thank you to the whole team at the Hotel Kranz and Restaurant Stier for the pleasant stay.

Simple and spotless.

We stayed for 3 nights to attend a family wedding in the area. Our room (at the back corner of the main hotel building) was spotless and spacious. There was a little noise from the hotel restaurant below but it didn't really interrupt our sleep - the beds were very comfortable.
Breakfast was as expected, continental - the usual suspects -fruit, bread, cheese, cold meats etc (uncovered, which would be my only concern). It was adequate given that we only made it down for breakfast on one morning of our three! (We didn't eat otherwise in the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant food - it looked fairly generic but it appeared to be very popular with the locals.)
Lack of a kettle/ tea/coffee making facilities unfortunately meant that one of us had to go down at breakfast - looking and feeling more than a little worse for wear after a very late night, for much needed coffee to take back up to the room - which was, thankfully, happily supplied!
We had a pleasant and convenient stay, (the only improvements we would suggest would definitely be a bottle of mineral water and coffee making facilities in the room and in room Wifi for an excellent rating)
