My perfect kind of hotel in Europe

We weren't exactly sure what we were getting booking last minute for 99 Euros, but oh I wish we could have had this hotel room our entire trip! We had room 408. It was HUGE by European standards overlooking the street. Check in is at the restaurant and then you can take stairs or elevator to your room. The restaurant and hotel are so charming. We were not hungry enough for a full meal as it was almost 10pm when we arrived, but we decided to share the cheese platter and glasses of wine. We laughed as our bill was 50 Euros, half the price of the room! But I wish we could have tried a meal at some point, it seemed to be a popular restaurant.
Highly recommend Weisser Bock!
Parking: We parked about a 5 min walk away at a public parking garage. I believe about 16 Euros for the night.

Better not anymore

Unfortunately, completely overpriced and overwhelmed. Feels a lot of staff wandering around unstructured and just passing by on wild wave. Truffle noodles were average but above average from the price. Dessert was pre-made and completely boring. On the cake that the bill was 75€ too high (for 2 people). We probably should have paid for the next table.
All in all rather disappointing.

New Year in Heidelberg 2024

Very nice town, it needs a bit of searching because the old town is not at the beginning, on New Year's Eve I mean it was a Sunday and almost everything was closed, don't go near those who throw the fireworks it's dangerous, take the cable car to go to the tower and no at the end of the route it's not worth it, the room we booked in a village a little outside Heidelberg is great...try the hot wine with amaretto it's worth it...very nice town for a change of time..

older nice hotel

Very winding, older hotel. Our rooms were in the attic, where the heat was already building up in May. The rooms were accessible by elevator on two floors, then five steps down and two 17 creaky wooden steps back up, meaning that guests with mobility issues should only stay on the second floor. The hotel is close to the "party mile" where people celebrated loudly until late. The rooms were very nice. We didn't try the restaurant because it was very expensive and we had breakfast outside in a cafe and not in the hotel.

Great location

Visited Heidelberg for the lovely Christmas markets. This hotel was very welcoming, in a perfect location in the Aldstadt with clean and comfortable rooms. Large and modern bathroom facilities. Recommended.
