Recommended hotel

Have booked a room at short notice and unbureaucratic. The wish for a quiet room could also be met.
Very nice and helpful staff, very friendly staff. A very nice little breakfast.
The room was super clean. The mattresses were excellent.
The location of the hotel is central.

Every hotelier / interior decorator should have at least 1 x annual stay in each room of his hotel

Basically ok. In a few details, then, something to improve. Once again I had my room on the ground floor directly on the sidewalk and to the main street and to the opposite railway tracks. In winter, that's certainly no problem, but in summer I didn't want to stay there. The signage on arrival is a bit poor, but ok. Only from the backyard you can enter the house barrier-free. Inside Nordic cool, but the "customs office" ambience is well raised. There are 2 bottles of water in the room for free. Thanks for that. In the bathroom, unfortunately, there is no hanger for the bath towel, unless you want your towel half hanging on the floor. And even a shower head should be cleaned. A bit of paint on the wall would make the signs of wear in the extremely small bedroom a little friendlier. Breakfast left nothing to be desired, but how to serve the yellow in the egg of a soft boiled egg completely cold is still a mystery to me. The Nordic tart and loud tone of the breakfast worker takes some getting used to. Through a few little things the stay would have been a bit more pleasant.

Top location, modern coolness

The historic building in a prime location offers the internationally current hotel standard, all in perfect shape and modern, friendly welcome included. Along with this, I regret to say, a modern coolness, all authenticity and reference to historical significance and history has been lost. Any charisma that such a building with a formerly important function actually has is thoroughly modernized away. Even the room names of old save nothing.
But the guest expects a very clean, well-kept and decidedly quiet room. The breakfast is not lavish in the selection, but qualitatively absolutely fine. Also the friendly staff and the top location make the hotel very welcoming, my recommendation!

Stay centrally in Husum in a historic city

An old but completely renovated customs house at the bridge between the inner port and the outer port with good views over the outer port. Very centrally located and with possibility of parking in a farm. Not good space, but there was equal space for us... Decor, beds, diners, breakfast etc very fine.

Clearly full score!

Everything was fine, starting from check-in late in the evening, the parking at the house, the central yet quiet location, the modern design of the rooms, good beds and linen, a nice bathroom, very friendly staff, what more could you want. You can spend several days here. The location is also well suited for excursions in the area (north beach, Pellworm, etc.).
Our personal highlight was the breakfast, which is put together very lovingly and varied. An unqualified recommendation from our side.
