Excellent value for money

Great experience, 3 star category hotel at a fair price. Very clean and spacious room, comfortable beds, mineral water as a gift every day, candies and chocolates as a gift every day, good and affordable breakfast, very good filtered coffee, very friendly and helpful staff, very convenient location for downtown and public transport. I recommend the kasselcard which includes the use of all public transport for 72 hours , cost 12 euros for 2 people! Super cheap!

Never again - disappointing in every respect

As soon as we entered the hotel, a strong smell of cigarettes came to our attention – both in the entrance area and in the breakfast room. This is despite the fact that the hotel is officially run as a non-smoking hotel. For sensitive people or non-smokers, this is an imposition.
We booked two triple rooms for four nights through Booking.com, but we received two single rooms – without any consultation or discount. The employee only said that the boss decides who gets which rooms, “she does it the way she wants.” Unprofessional and unacceptable.
160 Euro price difference – without any refund. I have already contacted Booking.com.
Other deficiencies:
• Hotel closed from 7 pm, after that only key access – no notice in advance
• Invoice by email not possible
• Breakfast:
• Just one type of jam
• Tea bags instead of selection
• Only filter coffee included – everything else (cappuccino etc.) costs extra
• No fruit, no freshness – absolutely disappointing
Hygiene:
• Mold and rust in the shower,
• Dust and dead flies on the windowsill in the stairwell
• Overall a very neglected impression
Service:
• Unfriendly, no solution to problems, no insight – hospitality is a foreign word here.
Conclusion:
This hotel does not in any way meet the standards you can expect when booking. We felt neither welcome nor well accommodated. If you are looking for peace, cleanliness, honesty and hospitality, you should definitely refrain.

Hotel Chassalla Kassel

I met a friend in Kassel in mid-April 2025. Watching hotels for one night with breakfast. Chose this hotel because of its location. The hotel is located between two tram stops. From Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe Station, several tram stops are available. The tram can also be taken directly to the city centre, the city museum and the main attraction in Kassel - Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe. The hotel is not new, but keeps it clean and orderly. We arrived a little earlier check-in time, filled out a form and were hospitably allowed to check in early. At the reception we got a room key (aka the front door) because in the evening we understood the hotel just closes and the staff goes home. Room clean, towels and linen also. Breakfast is small, regular. Cut sausage, cheese, egg omelet, red fish. Tea and coffee are brought to everyone on the table in small tea/coffee pots upon request. You can ask for more. There were plenty of places, as was food. The staff are sociable, friendly. On the day we left, we had free time to get to the train. We decided to visit the city museum. The suitcases were asked to stay at the hotel until lunchtime. We were kindly allowed to. The overall impression of the hotel is good, the value for money is reasonable.

Good hotel with nice staff!

Nice hotel with super friendly staff. We have come with the motorcycles and you can park them well behind the hotel. Breakfast costs only 5 euros and is totally fine. The room is neat and the beds are good too. We wanted to check in later and this was no problem.

Cozy mini hotel in the city centre

The hotel is located in the city centre, close to all attractions, including Karlsaue and Wilhelmshöhe parks. Cozy enough rooms. Nice breakfasts and polite staff. I loved it. It is possible to leave the bikes overnight.
