Small but nice

I have never stayed in a Stadthotel before. I'm used to the big brands ;-).
The Stadthotel is located very centrally in the old town of Constance. Parking garage is in walking distance.
The hotel is small but my room has everything you need. The room was cozy. The bathroom was a little small but for one person it was ok.
The breakfast buffet has all you can ask for - fresh bread, cold cuts, cheese, jam, and cereal. You can get coffee or tea, orange juice.
The staff I have seen during my stay was friendly.

Good location and decent price

The hotel is located in the old town area very close to the lake. The personnel were friendly and the breakfast buffet was adequate for the price. Our room was small and the area was very loud. The room didn't have a fridge so no where to keep drinks cool.
The room was clean but could do with some modernisation. The "cream" soap was so watery that it didn't even produce any foam.
Signs were prominently posted around the breakfast area to remind guests to wear a face covering but the majority of guests took no notice, perhaps the staff should remind guests of this requirement
Parking is in the park house nearby.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone having a short stay in Konstanz

Avoid if temperature above 20°C

Very clean rooms and hotel in general. Double bed very comfy because single mattress. Very good location. Has a lift, which is good if you have large suitcase.
HOWEVER; the rooms are very hot. No ventilators or airco. We had the window open but due to the central location, it is extremely loud until 2 and then after 6, with car/motorbike traffic and drunk people coming out from restaurants/bars nearby. Room change was refused as they claimed to be fully booked. The bathrooms need urgent renovation, new shower heads and new tap for the sink(for the prices we paid this should be no problem at all,140€ per night). Breakfast items that are not durable need to be served in ice in the buffet. The cream cheese was already curdy, butter nearly liquid. The boiled eggs still had uncooked whites and yolk. Bread slices had dried out already.

Old World Charm

This hotel is centrally located and a 5-minute walk from the train station which makes it very convenient. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. This is a good option whatever your reason for visiting Konstanz,
The breakfast is very good with many options. Being centrally located and close to the heart of the Old City, you will be able to explore Konstanz with ease.

In the heart of the city.

The location is excellent, close to everything. To the main attractions, to the right restaurants, to the Wine Festival and the railway station and the harbor. The only problem is the sleep quality. The windows are sound proof, so if they closed, there is no problem at all. Only, if you, like me, prefer to have fresh air during the night. A few times I tried, but half an hour, later on, I had to close windows because of the very noisy lorries, and sometimes even louder people. The room was immaculate, the hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and for plus € 7.- they served a delicious breakfast with plenty of choices. If you have difficulties walking on the stairs, don't ask for breakfast, since the breakfast room is in the attic, and the elevator stops at the third floor. From there you have to climb up.
The hotel was overpriced partly because of the ongoing annual Wine Festival. Sometimes you have to pay for the location and certain event.
