Very cozy.

We discovered this shop purely by chance while we were in Kremmen eating asparagus. We treated ourselves to coffee and cake and enjoyed it. The atmosphere is very fairy-tale-like both inside and outside. This shop has been designed with love.

A nice stop on the bike tour around Berlin

On my bike tour around Berlin I took a break at the café “Alte Gingerbread Factory” in Kremmen. I can really recommend this stopover.
Even from the outside, the café makes you want to visit. The old factory building has character, and you can see that work was done here with great attention to detail. I could park my bike easily nearby, which is always an important point for bike travelers.
I was positively surprised at dinner. The menu offers a nice selection of homemade cakes and savory trifles. Much seemed fresh and prepared with care. I ordered a piece of cake and a coffee, both of which tasted really good. The cake was juicy and not too sweet, the coffee vigorous and neatly brewed. After a long stage exactly what you want. The portions are reasonable and the value for money is right.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was friendly, attentive and relaxed, even as it got fuller. You felt welcome not only as a guest, but almost like a regular customer. There were nice tips on questions about the region and possible further distances without having to ask for them.
The atmosphere in the cafe is quiet and cozy. It is a good place to take a breath, eat something and take a short break from cycling. There are beautiful places inside as well as outside, depending on the weather.
If you are cycling around Berlin and pass by near Kremmen, you should definitely plan a stop here. I'll be back for sure.

Hidden gem!

Not just a stay, but truly an experience. Amazing place with a lot of soul and spirit of the past. The hotel (of just 5 rooms) is located in an old gingerbread factory, with plenty of references to its original role. The room was spacious and clean. Delicious breakfast in the morning.

Immer wieder gerne!

Zwei Jahre später und es ist noch besser geworden. Zimmer sind angenehmer gestaltet, Frühstuck ein Erlebnis der besonders schöne Art und der Innenhof ein sehr angenehme Aufenthaltsort. Wir waren in die letzten 18 Monaten mehrmals hier, auch mit grosser Gruppen, und es war jedesmal eine Reise wert. Katharina Neumann hat ein Klasse Job gemacht. Chapeua.

Leckerer Kuchen in einem idyllischen Innenhof

Frischer hausgemachter Kuchen ist das, was man hier im liebevoll gestalteten Innenhof bei einer guten Tasse Kaffee genießen kann. Wem das nicht reicht, der kann sich auch noch Lebkuchen mit auf den Weg nehmen.
