Fine managers - old fashioned but decent hotel

A young entrepreneurial couple who took over the hotel in 2025 and take on many roles themselves. We felt a lot of love for their hotel and their profession. We had a nice breakfast here and also had a nice dinner (Wiener Schnitzel). The hotel and its decor is rather old-fashioned. Our family room was in the basement. We were personally brought to the room by the hostess. The two sleeping areas were separated by a curtain. Those who want more privacy, perhaps best inform in advance. The hotel is immediately along a typical road, which we did not suffer from. Nearest supermarket Norma at 5 minutes drive. An Edeka (with wider choice) 15 minutes drive away. Teufelsschlucht a 20-minute drive (and Müllertal just a little further). Trier at 15 minutes. So well centrally suffered to visit the region. We were there two nights and recommend it. A good value for money.

An interesting local restorant, with something more...

We just dine here (no experience of the hotel). Good service in english, menu in english as well. Traditional local food but with a twist. I tried a very good onion soup and a great, in far east style, main course with lentils, green curry and grilled chicken. A good bottle of local red wine ( pinot noir) completed our experience. Price on average. Recommended.

Old-fashioned solid and cozy

An old fashioned cozy, very good hotel, where the efforts of Isabelle & Patrick get a rating of 10 from us. Always cheerful and despite age, solid German in the good sense of the word.
Fortunately, electronics has not hit hard here yet. Door and safe still open with a key. In short, very solid.
Very happy that this still exists!!
Furthermore, German cuisine , Breakfast and dinner is excellent

High service and great food

Cozy and familiar hotel that we found by chance.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Extra plus to the amazing service and food in the restaurant which was really good and well prepared!!
Perfect to stop at when you are passing through.

Typical German place but top food and service

Great food and what a service. Schnitzel was crazy good. 5 out of 5. Incredible service minded. Rooms simple but travel. Comfortable beds. Staff super nice. Located right next to the main road. A little noise but the hotel offered earplugs
