Good city hotel

I spent one night at the Scandic Nürnberg Central and was very satisfied. The former Maritim Hotel was completely renovated and has presented itself as modern and freshly renovated since its reopening at the beginning of 2024.
I would especially like to highlight the breakfast buffet: a very large, diverse selection – I can highly recommend it. The location is excellent, right by the pedestrian zone and only a few minutes' walk from the main train station. The hotel's own underground parking garage is practical, although it does cost extra.
Conclusion: A successful fresh start for this traditional establishment – I would be happy to come back.

very good, centrally located city hotel

the hotel is super centrally located and can be reached on foot from the train station in just a few minutes. We were very satisfied with our room, it was spacious and had a very good bed. Unfortunately, the price was significantly inflated due to the Rock im Park festival, which leads to a one-star deduction. Otherwise, a clear recommendation!

We stayed for one night.
Location is great and the hotel is really clean, but some of the equipment in the gym was outdated and there was an extra cost for sauna and pool which was in the hotel basement. The gym was on the 7th floor.

This hotel offers a very pleasurable experience. I enjoyed my stay and found the rooms and facilities of high standard. The pool in the basement is lovely and has many showers and two saunas where one can relax. These facilities in the basement made my stay so much better. The rooms seem to vary in size and the beds are not the most comfortable but I find that I could get a decent sleep in them. One thing I would mention is there were some problems with the bathroom: in my room , the toilet would keep trickling water down after I flushed it and it was very audible. I went back to the hotel at 7pm to get something prior to heading out to an evening meal and football and I thought that it would stop with time ; it did not.I got back at 3am in the morning and it was still going audibly. There was also some grime in the back of the sink. Outside the hotel , it is very grimy and the floor is peppered with cigarettes. I wore my crocs that were white and now they have dark patches that are very hard to wash of. The town of Nuremberg has lots of restaurants including some that one would find in most shopping malls in their home country. I also found a kebab down the street ad you turn right out of the hotel that has been there for several days spilled out on the floor.

A very nice and clean property, with friendly staff, and very near to the train station. Overall a good stay.
