Enjoyment all the way!

The inn is absolutely sensationally located, our room was fabulously large and cozy with a great balcony with an Alpine view, and the Tauscher-Kögler family made our vacation a dreamily beautiful experience with their extraordinary hospitality and personal touch. If you want to enjoy the Upper Allgäu Alps with high-level comfort and gastronomy, while still being together with 50 cows in the middle of the mountains and around the corner from the Freibergsee, there is, in our opinion, no better address. Thank you!

Dreamy vacation

The best you can expect. Ambience, guest and service, staff, food is BETTER than in any 5-star hotel. But even better is this peace and view.
This is what a VACATION is like. Recommended to anyone who wants peace and relaxation.
Dear family and all those involved, we spent 10 wonderful days with you and were truly relaxed and rested. We would have preferred to stay there. We are already looking forward to the next time in this atmosphere and with your hosts. Continued good luck and health.

Very nice, cozy Alpine inn.

After a hut tour with snow, rain, and sore muscles, we treated ourselves to a night at Hotel Schwand: the icing on the cake of the tour! Super relaxing sauna with a huge whirlpool, very delicious dinner, absolute silence at night, and a fine breakfast. The owner and staff are helpful and friendly; even among the guests present, there was a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. What more could one want? The location is great, away from the tourist hustle in Oberstdorf, but quickly accessible to there or to the Fellhorn cable car or for hiking. Only to be recommended!

Successful week

Dear Schwand Team,
It was an all-around wonderful week with you.
I surprised my wife for our anniversary.
Thanks to the Alpengasthof-Hotel Schwand "TEAM," it was a great success.
The warm welcome, the room, the food, the location in the mountains, the tranquility, and all the friendly staff who took great care of us deserve our heartfelt thanks.

Located a couple of miles form Oberstdorf in the natural protected region, the Alpengsathof Schwand is the prototype of the home chalet. Surrounded by a protected natural park, a warm welcome of the owners and the whole team, living like a family in this beautiful alpine farm, let you feel at home in the mountains.
Genuine Bavarian atmosphere not far from the city of the winter games, just a hundred meters from the skijump, one can discover the beauty and ambiance of the Allgäu.Last but not least, the cook will let you enjoy dream dinners after a long day hiking, skiing, or whatever you might do during the day.
Many thanks to Claudia, Franz and the team for this unforgettable week in Schwand.
