Here, the name says it all.

The Sonnenalm delivers what it promises. A sunny spot in a beautiful location. Even when the sun is not shining, the atmosphere radiates so much warmth that you can almost feel the sun.
The rooms are all very cozy in design. You feel comfortable right away. Everything is clean and tidy.
The wellness area is small but very nice.
The dinner was very fine. Unfortunately, breakfast was not replenished, and the bread ran out. But everyone was satisfied. The service in the morning was very attentive. Nothing was lacking.
This was certainly not the last stay.

Deceleration. Enjoyment. Hospitality. Beautiful.

We received a voucher for the Sonnenalm for our wedding and are currently enjoying 4 wonderful days. This is how one imagines an inn in the mountains. Rustic, very friendly, sensational food, surrounded by a dream panorama. The absolute best feel-good days

Wonderful relaxing holiday!

Now for the third time very satisfied with the room and food.
We particularly like that our wishes as a small group (3 married couples) are always taken into account quite well!

Highly recommended, a stay in the Sonnenalm

During the carnival season we spent a wonderful, relaxing week in the Sonnenalm. Plenty of snow for skiing was available, but the hotel can do nothing about that. But what the hotel can do is the following: cozy rooms, cleaned daily; very tasty food; very attentive staff who are very friendly and helpful. All in all, we spent a relaxing time at Sonnenalm and were very satisfied. Many thanks to all our employees.

Great. Great.

Can I just say: -Great?
At 1271 meters altitude, after a nice 10m car ride up from 768 meters altitude, you can park ample on top of the alpine hut. The road to it is easily accessible by car. Even tourist buses can cross it. It is a toll road (€10 for a car) or free if you stay in Reit im Winkl and have a pass for the car. Parking is included in the toll.
There are a number of restaurants on the alpine pasture and you can walk there. The view is very beautiful over the ridges.
We were there on a Sunday in August and chose restaurant Sonnenalm. The kitchen of the restaurant opens at 11:30 am, with a drink beforehand fine to do for lunch.
We chose the Tyrolean Speckplatte with bread. After all, you're about 300 meters from Tyrol, right? Very well laid out with two kinds of thinly sliced loin and belly bacon, cucumber slices, grated horseradish, silver onion and some more side. Add a basket of firm bread and full cream butter to make it complete. You can eat well with two people.
The homemade game sauce (Bolognese style) with fried chanterelles and spaghetti made it complete.
The silence on the mountain, punctuated by a casual cow boom or the clink of a cowbell give the whole a serene Mood. Apart.
For children there is a separate part at the end of the terrace with climbing frames etc.
Also visited on a Thursday in August. It is then clearly quieter than on a Sunday. The silence, the vast views when you walk the Sternenparkweg, it makes it a pleasant delay.
