FABULOUS GOURMET DINNER!

We visited Sonne in May of 2019 with relatives from the same town. We are from America! I don't believe we have ever experienced such a delightful evening! The ambiance was exceptional and the food was incredible. What really topped off the night was meeting the owner "Alex Fritz" who went out of his way to make our evening memorable. It was definitely a highlight of our trip! It is a must to dine there!

Where do the 4 stars come from?

The price-performance ratio is not right at all. Some of the staff are quite unfriendly, the furnishings are outdated. Unfortunately, the breakfast does not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. The only positive thing that can be said is the cleanliness. All in all, it was a sober stay for a lot of money.

Great little independent hotel

Found this by accident due to Schorndorf being full. Hotel is great value - to find an hotel in this area with restaurant, bar, gym, pool and Sky TV is a bonus. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and little extras seem no problem to them. Food is excellent, as is wine choice. Rooms are fine, and very clean and well maintained. Great value and my regular stopping point now

Clean and modern hotel

This is a good hotel which includes a swimming pool, gym and sauna. There is also a balcony with a wonderful view of the surroundings above the restaurant section. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and have modern furnishings.

Typical German Hotel

This Hotel Sonne was chosen for me due to a business function. The single rooms are clean, spacious although the single bed is annoying. Some of the rooms lack air conditioning and unfortunately, if you're in a room facing the street it's too noisy to open windows to let air in. Breakfast was missing Weisswurst which is my favourite, the hotel is just a short walk from town.
