we went there as guests and left again as friends of the Germanenhof. This hotel is great

we stayed at the Hotel Germanenhof in August. Although we arrived earlier than expected, we were greeted and welcomed in a friendly and courteous manner. The accommodation allocated to us consisted of a bedroom, a rain shower, a separate toilet and a small lounge with seating element and television, as well as a balcony. It was all clean and attractively decorated. We were already contacted by the hotel before our travel day if we wanted to reserve a table in the restaurant the next day of arrival. We found this Service very accommodating. The evenings that followed gave us an idea why we should reserve a table. Guests from other hotels as well as residents from the village frequented the restaurant. The food we ordered for the evening confirmed the great popularity of the restaurant. We ordered e.g. young pork schnitzel, rump steak, veal schnitzel, salads and even on the requests to combine a dish a little differently was easily arranged and served according to our wishes. The breakfast buffet could also cater to every taste and dietary setting. The rolls were fresh from the baker and not from the freezer, delicious pastries sweetened the breakfast additionally. The filter coffee was very delicious. A big praise goes to the highly motivated employees of the house, everyone, whether just starting out or having been doing a great job for years and letting you really enjoy the holiday. Thanks for that. You were just great!!!

Value for the money ratio - 3.3 out of 5
Pros
Clean, good breakfast options, have sauna/steam room.
Cons
Check in lady at nightshirt did not speak English and was not happy me booking with Expedia - not direct with hotel.
Price for 1person - 130eur, price for two people - 176eur. I am Hilton Gold Member and I pay 130eur for two peole at 4star hotel (no Hilton hotels nearby hence me booking with this property).
Overall, if no other option available, this is good back up option at slight higher price

To choose this hotel, I put a restaurant as a condition. But the restaurant was closed. I work as a technician from morning to evening, mostly without lunch, and then I come to the hotel, tired, and the restaurant is closed. Hotel itself is nice and personal friendly.
