I can only recommend it!

Because the tent was defective, we had to make alternative plans. We spontaneously stayed at Hollis-Rast, and with children and a dog, we were received very kindly.
The first impression is of course "truck driver camp", especially because of the location, but inside it was actually more modern and above all clean.
I was initially worried about bedbugs or similar, but they use Ardap here! After each visit, the bedding is changed and thoroughly cleaned. The sanitary facilities are also clean.
Here and there were minor issues that one could complain about, but for the price, they are not worth mentioning.
It was definitely more comfortable, the beds were very comfortable, and the TV was a great extra. The shower and toilet were also in the room.
All in all, I found the stay really great, and we would love to come back!

disappointing

We ordered a farmer's breakfast and an East German-style hunter's schnitzel (with Jagdwurst) with noodles and tomato sauce.
The breaded Jagdwurst tasted good. The pasta lacked salt, the tomato sauce was simply bland.
The farmer's breakfast consisted of some colorless and many burnt-black thick potato slices with onions. Pepper and salt - nowhere to be found! A folded omelet lay on top of the potatoes.
I have never eaten such a bad farmer's breakfast!
It was not very busy at the snack bar at the time of our visit, so time pressure was not an argument for the bad food.

Disappointment

This is more of an asylum accommodation than a hotel. Poorly equipped room without a chair and table. Old creaky beds. No room service, no new towels. Room number is written on the frame with a marker. That shows the level of quality.
Breakfast is below average.
I am disappointed that something like this is being promoted by booking.

Once and never again.....

Unfriendly, expensive, outrageous.... We have never experienced anything like this anywhere else. It is always the first time. time. I do not want to waste my lifetime listing everything. Such a place cannot be called a rest stop. One can either be upset or just laugh at such rudeness and unfriendliness.... With the poor reviews, one can only agree. Even the witches on the Brocken would be friendlier...laugh.

Unfriendly!

I have rarely experienced such an unfriendly and unprofessional conversation as there. We accidentally canceled a booking and wanted to cancel it out of goodwill; initially, we received no response, and our booking was simply deleted from the records without a refund being issued.
Subsequently, I received an email stating, "You do not need to call multiple times; our cancellation policies are known to you, and that is final. You will not get your money back." Best regards, Hollis-Rast.
Of course, it is the accommodation's right, but the manner in which it was communicated and the fact that our booking was simply deleted without informing us or refunding the money is extremely unprofessional.
If you can choose an alternative in the area and value friendly treatment, I recommend choosing another accommodation.
