Unfortunately, could not stay...

We arrived yesterday, went to the room and just started unpacking when we got a call from home. Had to go back immediately. I then tried to call the reception, which could not be done because of the rest day. Then we cancelled by email. Was completely problem-free and straightforward. Thank you very much, Mr Lutzenberger.
We will certainly start a second attempt,

Breakfast

We visited on a Sunday with a bunch of friends, great buffet/breakfast, one of the few places that serve "bacon" scrambled eggs, bratwurstl, unlimited coffee, juice etc, I couldn't fault it, and the price is also good

Stop over

This hotel was 1 of our stops during our bike tour. The hotel is very clean and maintained. The staff was the best so far. the breakfast buffet was very good with a good taste of local baking. Location is great but this is the clock tower that chimes for a minute at 6 am. The only downfall is the town is very small with little to see.

Wonderfully positioned hotel of good quality

Awarded five star not because of quality but overall experience when compared to others.
The hotel is situated in the main square within the walls of the old town so couldn't be better placed. There is parking just outside the town but if you just want overnight then you can park in town from 5 pm for one hour then free until 9 in the morning.
Our room (15) faced in so was very quiet. Others look over the square and I guess could be noisy until town quiets down. Reasonable sized with room for all the usual stuff inclu TV, minibar, but not much more. Plenty of elec outlets. Free wi-fi. The ensuite was ultra modern and clean but contained within glass which I didn't care for. It had a power shower and a hi-tech loo.
Breakfast was a very nicely presented version of the usual continental with a few extra cooked items such a bacon and scrambled eggs.
There was a restaurant but it was closed when we were there.
For position and general quality I doubt whether it could be beaten.
