Quietly located mid-range hotel

We have been guests at the Kolping Hotel repeatedly. The double rooms are simply and functionally equipped. Additional requested pillows were no problem. The breakfast buffet is regionally stocked and offers a very good selection for a good start to the day. Free parking is available on the hotel grounds as well as on the street. The hotel's own restaurant offers hearty, recommendable cuisine. Nice beer garden under chestnut trees.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

Unfortunately, they have a little problem with temperatures. Dinner (buffet of a business event) was already cold until it was eaten.
Shower the following morning had only cold water. (Also with other guests)
Things that should be warm at breakfast were also already cold.
Only the coffee from the machine was properly tempered.

My booking of a room at the Kolping Hotel for a business trip to Schweinfurt was straightforward and friendly. It is important to know that the reception is not manned as long as it is on working days. Those who arrive later will find the key in a kind of key safe. However, I decided to arrive earlier and had such a conversation with the lady at the reception who gave me tips for the further design of the afternoon. There are also some (few) information brochures about the city and its surroundings at reception. In the foyer there is a vending machine for drinks as well as a huge movement on the ceiling. The in-house restaurant was unfortunately not open.
The building is a little nested. To my room in the 4th. On the first floor I got by elevator. The floor plan of the room was interesting. There were alcoves, and skylights on different levels with no view, an open cupboard, a (comfortable!) single bed, a TV, no fridge with minibar. Everything was picobello clean. Because of the large sultry conditions, an optimally functioning fan stood in front of the desk. So I could feel comfortable.
Breakfast can be taken from 6:30 am in a wide private room or outdoors. It offered various types of coffee (pot and vending machine), tea, two fruit juices, bread and rolls, jams and sausage specialties. The cake was industrially manufactured. More fruit would have been desirable.
I walked at a leisurely pace from the hotel to the city centre. In fact, you can also take the bus to Rossmarkt. I can only recommend the Kolping hotel due to the unique value for money.

The woman who worked in the breakfast room was unbelievably kind. Even though she works alone, nothing was lacking. She needs to be commended

Stop on the Radtouz

One night on the bike ride stayed here. Great room and a great breakfast - so I could sleep in and leave stronger for the next stage. Great beer garden that belongs to the house. The food and the freshly tapped beer very delicious. Central yet quiet location.
