Super friendly family hotel with an amazing breakfast
I had a single room to the back of the hotel and it was very quiet.

Incredibly friendly in every way!
The location is ideal, and despite the limited parking options, you can take your luggage to your room in peace and quiet thanks to a loading zone right in front of the house, and the hosts are happy to help. And the hosts in general! We have never been welcomed in a hotel in such a personal and friendly way, but never intrusive. It is a family business in the best sense of the word. The new homemade surprises that the landlady brings to the breakfast table every day are indescribable, and we were sorry that we couldn't eat everything. Our room, like the rest of the house, was not sober as is usual in hotels, but more of a real living-bedroom with an adjoining large bathroom. Although it was on the street side, we slept well even with the windows wide open because of the heat. The property with an almost enchanted garden and a garden house with lots of books offers a pleasant stay in good and bad weather.
And you get all of this for an unbelievably low price.

Little gem in beautiful Schwerin
The rooms a nice. The street is quiet. You have all you need for a good night’s sleep. The breakfast is very nice and full. You will have a good base for the day’s activities.
Parking is nearby and works just fine.
I recommend a visit to the Disney like castle. It is a nice walk. Take a break in one of the many cafes near the water. Schwerin houses one of the four Loewe churches that is worth a visit. On the other side on the square is a new take on a sculpture honoring Richard Loewe.
There a several small shops with handcraft and design. In general Schwerin offers some very nice shopping.
Schwerin has several nice restaurants that are not serving German cuisine. I do like a good schnitzel but not all the time. Gourmetfabrik offers an international cuisine in a very raw and modern setting. Restaurant Lukas is a very nice fish restaurant.

Wonderfully friendly welcome
The hosts - I think the owners - were so friendly and helpful. I speak reasonable German, and so haven't personal experience of how it would work for non-German speakers. But I am sure they would work very hard to welcome you.
The breakfast- the only meal served - is excellent. It is not the usual buffet - things are brought to your table. Every day there was something different. Day 1 raspberry lassi to drink, and a fried egg on smoked salmon. Day 2 a yoghurt, fruit and oatmeal dish, with a delicious cheese omelette. And every day orange juice, bread rolls, jam and the usual German plate of ham, sausage and cheese. Oh, and a little side salad that varied each day. It was remarkably good.
