In a time after the Covid lie, we should be grateful....
to all the restaurateurs who survived this catastrophic period.

Your service is great, the breakfast is just great,
that room, is the concern of recreation, great and very functional, the location a dream. ( more I just can't think of )
For people who like the absolute tranquility, after the stress in everyday life, it is more than perfect.
The parking lot is just outside the house.
If you like simplicity, it is suitable for you.
Of course, there are dreamers who expect 5 stars,...
They'll go to the Hilton or Kempinski and live your prosperity façade, please.

Very old ageing
Getting old from the inside and out. Unapologetic with GDR charm!
Outdoor area unkempt, repairs urgently needed!
Housekeeping: unclear, on arrival was still mop bucket in the room, all windows open spear-width! The next day only the trash can was emptied, beds not made.
General cleanliness: well- bath was clean, cobwebs in the room! Don't look in the corners!
Breakfast: in the lowest level! Selection and replenishment depending on the number of guests! Otherwise supermarket goods, special requests (oat milk, vegan...) must be arranged with the hotel before three arrivals!
Especially the name is not suitable, old name "Wernigeroder Schützenhaus" fits better

Very nice hotel with vieeeeel GDR charm . Wonderful

(".....the hotel did not meet our expectations....") then I wonder what to expect for 49,50€ including breakfast per room/night. If you don't have breakfast with bay it's not 40€/night. But yes , there are nags everywhere who expect golden taps , marble bathroom and teak furniture for 50€/night as well as caviar available 24/7 ....
We stayed here on business trip. However, the sometimes very negative reviews , here or on other portals did not allow us to conclude anything good .
Yes the hotel seems to be old but it has this , for me very great , GDR charm . The staff is super friendly .
And let's face it we paid 200€ for 2 rooms and 2 nights. I have absolutely nothing to complain about except that the mattress has been a bit soft. It was not designed but for me with my over 100kg just the wrong degree of hardness.
That you can't get a 4-star hotel for just under 50€ per night including breakfast should be clear to everyone .
Conclusion , I will definitely book here with my wife and children once.
And those who think it doesn't meet their demands just have to see what they pay for "THEIR CLAIMS FAIR" accommodation . I suggest Adlon or Hilton..... Let's see what they get there for 50€/night

I would rather book a place outdoors
The hotel is just a nightmare.
The rooms are mediocrely furnished the room service just doesn't come although you asked for it. The pictures on the website are beautifully made but unfortunately do not fit the reality
Breakfast is mediocre packaged sausage all in all it is terrible that it is still offered for this price.
Even for free I wouldn't go there
And for a Senseo coffee they want 2euro.

Diamond in the rough
Okay, it is a 30 minute hilly walk into town, the exterior is in desperate need of a paint job, but was you get inside the front door this place is wonderful. Paid about $60 per night, breakfast included. Remember, this is a 3-star hotel so no lift and no bath tub. The interior has tons of character providing everything you could hope for in an authentic German inn. The Staff spoke little English, but were always helpful and friendly. Breakfast is a good spread featuring a couple of hot items (scrambled eggs and beans) but everything else was good. The room was good sized, nice firm bed, sattelite TV and the shower worked great.
Great if you have a car, but even if you don't an enjoyable walk into town. Upon check-in, they provide you with a pass to use the local bus but it's a 15 walk to the bus stop.
All things considered, a great value for money and I would much rather stay here than a place in town for 2 or 3 times the money.
