Ideal starting point for an island exploration

This 4-star hotel, centrally but quietly located in Westerland, is the ideal starting point for exploring the island. From the train station you can reach the hotel in about 7 minutes on foot, pedestrian zone, Sylter Welle and beach promenade are only 5 minutes away.
The hotel consists of two connected buildings: the Sylter Hof, a classic brick building with 24 rooms and suites on 4 floors and the old Villa Kristina with 14 modernly designed rooms, which are slightly more expensive than at the Sylter Hof. Pets are not allowed here. In the middle is the spacious reception and lobby with access to the common bright breakfast room with small terrace and the cocktail bar Numero9. In the basement there is a small indoor pool as well as a wellness area with sauna and steam bath, as well as a very well stocked gym. Beach chairs invite you to linger in a small front garden. Behind the house there is a guest parking lot and bike racks, but no covered bike shed.
Our double room was on the 3rd floor. Floor of the SylterHof. An elevator is available. The room was large enough with a small furnished west balcony. Modern interior with hygienic laminate flooring. Large flat screen TV facing-a-vis the beds, minibar, coffee maker, safe, bathrobes and other accessories. Good lighting with reading lamps that do not disturb the bed neighbor.
The bathroom was also large enough, the shower very small, the toilet not separate.
The staff was very friendly and helpful in all areas.
The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Wide selection of sausages, cheese and fish as well as small salads, various breads and rolls as well as pastries, cottage cheese cereals, fresh fruit salad, juices and daily also sparkling wine. Egg dishes are freshly prepared as desired. Everything is constantly replenished. And very pleasant: Breakfast until 12 noon! The icing on the cake would have been freshly squeezed O-juice and better coffee.
A restaurant is not connected.
The prices are typically upscale, but the price/performance ratio is still ok.

Once and never again. Creepy!

Old and dirty. Stains on the bed linens and mold spots in the bathroom. The food is reheated frozen goods, and no one can cook there. The owner is very unfriendly. Once and never again.

Excellent breakfast

This review only applies to breakfast, which you can enjoy there if you are not a hotel guest. And I can only say we were thrilled. It fits all service , atmosphere, offer as well as quality of products. And much quieter than in the trendy breakfast spots in Westerland and at an unbeatable price. We will come back!

Nice, cozy hotel in a great location

Highly recommended, cozy hotel with a great breakfast buffet in a great location. The beach and pedestrian zone are practically around the corner, but the location is still quiet. Very friendly and warm service. Had a lovely room on the top floor, parking right by the hotel, we would love to come back!

Booked online villa Christina. All is very clean, staff very gtiendly, english breakfast like at home fresly cooked to order,
Just five minutes walk from town center. We warmly recommend
to book this hotel. Just waiting for the sun to vome out.
