Nice hotel
We had a pleasant stay at Wittlicher Hof. The service is good and great hospitality. The big rooms are good and bathroom is also big and clean.
There is a small restaurant/bar were you can have a drink or meal.

Bad, just bad
I don't know where to start. In January I booked 3 double rooms for 31.5.2025 and also received a reservation confirmation. Unfortunately, we did not receive any rooms on arrival, as the boss of the house had no booking allegedly, there was a change of ownership here at the beginning of May. We arrived at the hotel sweaty at about 5:30 p.m. as we went on a longer bike ride and at 7 p.m. a table awaited us in a rather exclusive restaurant. Understandably we were looking forward to the rooms and shower. The friendly gentleman at the reception gave us a key ( 1 room was free, the only one ) so that we could at least already shower and informed his boss, who then also came. This one showed very, very opaque! There was a little word fight and finally an agreement (we simply had no choice ) We, 3 married couples, spent the night in 3 hotels, with my husband and I receiving the last Kaschemme BAR for 110€ (here is an extra review). A friendly couple stayed in the Wittlich Hof. They reported urgent need for remediation. For example, the water ran down the walls. I myself wondered about puddles in the hallway on the way to the shower! I cannot make a recommendation, rather the opposite, fingers off!

An experience we do not recommend
I was on business with a colleague and we had the pleasure of staying at this "hotel". Already in the rooms it was pointed out that the hotel was affected by the 2021 disaster and construction sites are still open – what reassuring news!
And indeed, the rooms were teeming with construction sites. The sockets and light switches hung casually from the walls and the few working light switches provided an exciting guessing game as to which lamp is now on. My room was so clairvoyant that I could follow my neighbor’s daily routine down to the smallest detail – a dream for anyone who likes to share in the lives of others.
The strange noises (repeatedly "öhhhh") could not affect the hotel, of course, but hearing them so loud is really a masterpiece of acoustics. Oh yes, and there was hair in both rooms – a charming souvenir from the previous guests. The bed itself was a highlight of inconvenience, an experience you won’t soon forget. Since the rooms weren’t air-conditioned, we felt like in a sauna in the warm temperatures – very stuffy and crushing, what a luck!
The breakfast buffet was relatively well stocked, but we didn't like it at all. Maybe we were influenced by our previous impressions. But it did not surprise us.
All in all, the visit was an experience we cannot recommend. We will definitely prefer another hotel next time – perhaps one that has fewer surprises in store.

Basic Hotel with good kitchen for diner
The room looks dated but clean.
Tv only 9 canals with bad connection lots of noise on the screen ( room 20 )
Friendly staff at the desk and the restaurant.
There is a steakhouse below the hotel which belong to the hotel
Food was really good.
Do I go back ! No, maybe only for the restaurant !
Reason there is no WIFI no good Tv to relax after work on your room

I've never felt so unwelcome staying in a hotel.. :-(
I stayed here April 2018 as part of a team of coaches looking after a kids football team on tour. The adults where a mix of men and women aged between 40 an 70 so not rowdy. The children stayed with host families and the adults stayed at the Wittlicher Hof. On the first night we returned to our hotel restaurant for a few drinks before bed around 9.30pm. The place was empty so we thought we would be welcome, however the owner/barman seemed to have a very unfriendly attitude towards us from the moment we checked in. We each had a couple of beers and a snapps before he got tried of us and decided it was time to kick us out, around 11pm, and I mean he kicked us out, we couldn't even finish our drinks. Upon leaving one of the group held out his hand to shake his and thank him, however the owner slapped his hand away and shouted NO! The next day one of our older members of the party tried to get served during the afternoon but was refused entry and told our group was not welcome. There was no reason given to us and we cant workout between us what we could have done wrong. We tried hard to be friendly but seemed to be met with hostility, which made for a very unwelcome stay. Wittlich is a lovely place and everyone else that we met whilst there were absolutely lovely and very welcoming. As a group we decided to eat out and drink out for the remainder of our stay and collectively spent circa 400 - 500 euros per night, so a big loss for the hotel I'm sure.Some advice for the owner, treat people how you would like to be treated yourself!, this is a motto I live by and it has served me well.
On the whole the Hotel was roomy although a little dirty in too many places.The rooms although big enough are way over priced at 140 euros for a suite, and I would expect some of the light bulbs and sockets to work for that kind of money! The decor is designed to attract dust and lots of it, which hasn't been cleaned for a long time. So to summarize, Great location with good sized rooms, however, over priced, poorly maintained, desperately in need of a deep clean, and owners and staff need to lighten up and appreciate their customers quit a bit more if they are going to make a success of this business. We will return to Wittlich on a regular basis but we will not be staying at this hotel again under the current management.
