Cosy hotel in the city
Located away from the center, but not far from the port, in Wolgast.
The whole staff was very nice, the room bright and spacious.
The car can be parked in a sufficiently large parking space and there is a storage facility for the bicycle.
In my booking package was announced a parting gift, which I did not get, a pity.

Small hotel near town centre
We were cycling in the area, and stayed one night in Hotel Kirscstein. The location a bit outside the town center is nice and mainly quiet. The hotel looks recently renovated and clean. Our room was relatively big.
The main problem for us was the temperature in the room. The daytime temperature during our stay was about 20 degrees but the room was far too hot. I wonder how anyone can stay there when it's hot outside. There was a table fan in the room but there was no place where it could make the air around beds to move. We had to keep the window open all night, so the few passing cars and other random noises outside woke us up a few times.
We bought the breakfast, which was ok. All in all, the hotel was a bit too expensive in relation to the quality.

Bad food, employees smoke in the hotel
We, my wife and I, had booked a silver arrangement 2024/25 at the Hotel Kirschstein in Wolgast. We must strongly advise against this!
The offer was for 5 days, including 3 days with a 3-course evening meal and 2 days with evening buffet. The room and breakfast as well as the service in the morning were OK.
But then...
There were only two courses in the evening.
The first "course" was a 0.1 l jar of cold snipped canned vegetables. It took 1 teaspoon to get the vegetables out of the jar. I only know such a thing as "little greeting from the kitchen" BEFORE the 1st. Gang comes to bridge the waiting time!
The main course totally sweet - and lifeless cooked, without a single green salad leaf, without taste. I've never eaten so badly anywhere. My wife and I are travelling far in Germany, but we have never experienced anything like this. No soup. The staff didn't know about the third course. The boss who made the offer went on vacation to Mexico. I can complain on January 13, when he is back?!?! A cheek! I then negotiated with the waiter 1 bottle of 0.75 mineral water as a substitute.
As it turned out, there was no trained cook in the kitchen!
Even at the buffet no soup, no salad ,nothing that would have rounded off the food somehow.
From 2. Day then there was a 3. "Gang". Level like the first "gear"!
We had our room above the restaurant,
which was also the breakfast room in the morning. The bar was also connected to it.
The hotel was offered on the net as a complete non-smoking hotel. In the info folder on the room it was pointed out that non-compliance will be charged with 100 € additional cleaning costs.
Nevertheless, we were awakened at night by the cigarette smoke smell. It was so strong that my wife, who deals with Astma, had shortness of breath and needed her emergency spray. We thought it came from the next room. The next morning we questioned the room service. They couldn't detect anything. Another guest then enlightened us. Unfortunately, we only got into conversation on the last day. A woman, herself a smoker, went for a cigarette at around 11 p.m. in the evening and caught the staff sitting at the bar smoking when the guests had left.
Now it was also clear why every morning the breakfast room was completely cooled and I had to close the windows again at about 0°. On the last day we could also see that the room still smelled of smoke. Great breakfast!
Considering that the "offer" cost 200 € per day, costs about 120 € for the room in high season, then you bill about 50 € for New Year's Eve, then about 70 € is left for dinner!!! Last night, there were only leftovers from the New Year's Eve buffet. Shredded meat, which was then served as goulash, with dead-cooked pasta. Just mud!!. Out of about 45 guests have 3 (!!!) Guests ate the plates empty from hunger. The rest let 80-90% down. Every canteen, every hospital cooks better!
All these days a nightmare to forget.
We can only warn everyone about this hotel. Get your hands off me and go somewhere else.

Price performance was good.
The hotel was booked with half board. Breakfast was good, dinner was good too. But if you don't have a choice of what's available, it takes a lot of getting used to.
Service okay. Unfortunately no restaurant with a menu. Access to the hotel was a disaster. Room good, but the bathroom much too small.

Eine Reise wert
Ein zuvorkommendes, vll familäres geführtes Hotel. Können wir wirklich weiterempfehlen. Ruhige Lage. Kurze Strecke bis Usedom. Die Zimmer für Gäste, die mit Hund anreisen sind in der oberen Etage. Wir haben keinen Fahrstuhl gesehen, aber auch nicht danach gefragt.
