Great Value For The Price

I'm a solo woman traveller with problems with my legs, and the staff at this hotel were super helpful. They are located 100 meters from the bus station and carried my bag back to the hotel for me, then found me a room on the ground floor. They advised me on local prices, cooked for me, and helped me book a bus and taxi to Chitwan. All nice management, I even sat in the back garden with them drinking beers and feeding chickens.
I see there have been some bad reviews previously, but Vishnu tells me he has only been running President for the last year and has made a lot of improvements. It is a budget hotel, but with real sprung mattresses and worth every rupee just for the good nights sleep!

Absolutely HORRIBLE! Worst stay ever!!!

Terrible service, careless staff. After many attempts to communicate with the staff, we finally checked into a room covered with mold. The smell was just horrible, and we could almost feel ourselves getting sick. It took a long time to make them understand that we would appreciate another room, and when we finally succeeded, we were given a room just as gross. The ceiling was black with mold, the bed (sheets, pillows, everything) was damp, and so were the carpet-covered floor. The smell was sickening, and we just wanted to get away as fast as possible. Fortunately, we had only booked one night, but it was prepaid, and the most expensive of all our nights in Nepal, so we decided to hang in and save the money we were to spend on another hotel if we ditched this one. If I could go back and change that decision, I would - it was a terrible night, we didn't sleep, checked out very early the next morning and found a much better - and cheaper - hotel only a few minutes away. Do yourself a favour and stay far away from this place!
