A true gem - A fantastic host - A pleasure to stay with!!
The lodging is clean, comfortable ( if you have climbing issues you can request for a ground floor room as there is no lift ) and have breakfast sent to your room in the morning. The owner's wife , Esther made fantastic fish curry and delicious breakfast and do come and learn the momos from her. My personal favourtie is the chai tea every morning. The cup of chai enlivened my soul in the morning.
Lumbini is located in a quiet square and near to most tourist spots ;and the team is like a family. Be embraced by this Nepalese family. They are best host i have seen in all my travels worldwide.
Be ensured that the team will look after your needs and help you should you need assistance. A definite pleasure to stay with !!!

Amazing trekking organiser
On a previous visit I mentioned to the owner I was interested to do the pikey peak trek to find out he has a company that organises it.
Start to finish Aman was helpful, well organised and took care of everything. We had a guide and porter come with us, he gave us different transportation options. The guide took us off the beaten path to visit villages, monasteries and jungle paths along the way. Everything was perfectly done, would recommend these guys to anyone thinking of trekking in Nepal. Also try and get in on the Pikey Peak trek now, it's quite a new trail with amazing views of Everest at sunrise. I am certain in 5 years time it's going to be so popular some of the quaintness and charm will be lost to crowds.
I believe they also do excursions and trips within Kathmandu and Patan but didn't try, will save it for my next visit.
The guesthouse is decorated in the traditional style, but also very clean and neatly done. Great healthy breakfast options.
