Quiet and family accommodation in the Jungle

We spent 6 nights in the tower room. Correspondence in advance went well. Every evening we had a fantastic view of the sunset. We were woken up in the morning by singing birds or howler monkeys. Twice we even saw the monkeys from our balcony. The hammock on the balcony invited you to relax and linger.
The Jungle is run by a small, warm family. Maykell was helpful in terms of activities on the island, you could also rent motorcycles or scooters from him. There is a small restaurant with fresh and delicious dishes and fair prices. Only once did we eat somewhere else, otherwise we tried our way through the menu every day. The wifi in the restaurant and in the room was very good. We can recommend the accommodation 100% and would definitely come back.

Paradise, Wonderful Sunset, Farm to Table!

My husband and I, along with 2 of our friends, stayed at "The Jungle" for 4 nights. My husband I, stayed at the upper room with the terrace & lakeview, while our friends stayed at the ground floor room below, also with a lakeview.
Upon our arrival at "The Jungle", we were welcomed by our host, Maykel and his family: his wife, Soriel, who's an amazing cook! and his children, Axel & Liana. They made us feel so at home and we felt like a part of their family too. We even bonded with their pet rabbit, Fabio, and their 2 dogs, El Regalito & Panthera.
Maykel arranged our tours and transportations within the island. We loved and enjoyed every single meal we had. Price was reasonable and it was all delicious! Everything was fresh! From farm to table. We like that Maykel is collaborating with the local members of his community. Supporting local was very important to us and he has the right approach in supporting his community.
Keep in mind that this is the jungle and be prepared to see insects & other animals. I loved waking up in the morning and laying on the hammock on the terrace, and watch the exotic birds fly by. I enjoyed listening to their songs. We even saw monkeys, parrots, squirrels, and butterflies. The sunset from our terrace is breathtaking! I can spend all day here.
Although the location is a bit further from the main port of Moyogalpa, we enjoyed that it's very secluded here and peaceful. It is close to the San Ramon falls hike, and Playa Mangos and Playa El Perú; where you can also kayak towards the river of Istián. So this is an ideal starting point because the waves in Playa Mangos and Playa El Perú are so much calmer and the sunset is just breathtaking. I'm glad that the road construction are well underway to pave the roads in this part of town. Also, be prepared to go up the ramp towards the "The Jungle". You'll need a 4X4 or a truck to make the climb over the ramp. A motorcycle can do the climb no problem. Walking was ok too, but this can be challenging if you have a lot of luggages.
Maykel, thank you so much for welcoming us and making us feel so at home at "The Jungle". We became part of your family and we miss you all so much already.

The Jungle is very aptly named, with beautiful views and a great spot to explore from with your own transport needed.

The Jungle was a great place to stay. The food was excellent and great coffee too! The view was stunning from the restaurant, the room and the balcony. Rooms were very nice and spacious and all had a great view. I would thoroughly recommend it!

A little gem

To sleep in a round room is unique, but a large stone shower (with hot water) in Nicaragua, is a rare find. A lovely view ,with a host who will go out of their way, makes for a lovely stay. On the island, one must have transportation of some kind... thats what makes it fun!
