Great!

A nice hotel, view is great!
Nice, spacious room with balcony. Lovely shower. Everything neat and clean,
You look at Texel like this, really fantastic! Breakfast on the terrace, delicious.
A day at the Kop van Noord Holland visited (De Nollen, also great!), family visit.
The hotel made it either, worth repeating!

Den Helder's finest

I was travelling with an old friend, both of us wanting to visit unfamiliar parts of the Netherlands and Den Helder was on our list. I chose this hotel after looking at their website, very attracted by the location adjacent to the harbour but facing the sea.
We were not disappointed. From our early arrival nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and welcoming staff, we got two comfortable, spacious and well equipped sea facing rooms with balconies. The bar and adjoining restaurant proved excellent, good food and drink at a reasonable price and a good atmosphere.
The Texel ferry is practically next door, the Naval Museum a short walk and the sea dyke offers some bracing strolls. Hard not to be enthusiastic.

Nice hotel. We had a room with a view of the Wadden Sea and Texel. The hotel is next to the ferry to Texel. The navy, which also has a port, sailed by for an exercise. The rooms have a balcony, are fairly spacious, neat bathroom. There is a nice bar and a cozy restaurant with terrace on the water. The people are very nice and helpful (we had booked and then it turned out there was a family planning, so asked if it could be moved up 2 days. Without any problems). Cancellation is possible until noon on the day of arrival. Could be nice, too.

Nice location and super friendly staff

I always come here when I visit friends. It's my birthplace. What strikes me is that all the staff are helpful, friendly and old-fashioned polite and you don’t experience that much nowadays; great! Breakfast is delicious and extensive. Terrace is super and cozy! My only criticism is that the mattresses are far too soft and have been for years. These really need to be replaced by sturdy hotel mattresses. Despite that, I remain satisfied and especially because of the excellent staff and the beautiful location!

Bad experience

The room we got was without a view, this was obviously unfortunate, but someone must have them. However, the room was so small that we couldn't even open our suitcase when it was on the floor. Our bed was only 120 cm wide, and insane soft.
When we then came down for breakfast there was no clean at the tables, there was no shortage of cups for coffee, and no juice. When we politely asked the staff if they had more, they answered: well, there is no more, and then nothing else happened for a long time.
The drop, and the reason for this report, was when we were supposed to have bread. It was the mould, and again we are courteously paying attention to this. And nothing happens, the waitress said OK, and that's it. She didn't check the rest, nor apologized.
So overall a bad experience
