Parking space not found

Recently we had 2 nights in this hotel. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. However, it is difficult to find the parking behind the hotel, they should have said this. Upon arrival at the Main Street, there appeared to be a large concrete pile in front of the access road to the hotel. After much searching someone on the street asked how to get there. The nice lady managed to report that the parking lot can be found on the Westerstraat where the Action is also located. Indeed, this was the case. Boerland should have clearly indicated this so that we would have been spared a lot of searching. Also that you had to pick up a coin at the reception to leave the parking lot was not communicated to us.

Very good hotel

I stayed here, together with my father, from January 7 to 8.
We were received by a very friendly man.
Everything looks neat in the hotel. We had 2 rooms and in 1 room there was something defective. Another room was immediately arranged.
The rooms look neat and the beds sleep fine.
The only thing I found a little less was that on TV only the channel of the hotel itself and the Netherlands 1, 2 and 3 were shown. And hung luxaflex in the windows of the room where I slept but there was quite a bit of light coming through the luxaflex from outside. Curtains on the windows wouldn't be crazy. By the way, there are plans to refurbish everything so who knows, this might come.
Next to the hotel is a very cozy brown café.
The breakfast was also well taken care of and all the staff were very friendly.
Unfortunately I can only give 5 stars and no more.
It's worth repeating.
If you want a good night's stay, book at Hotel Boerland.

Knus terras

After an afternoon of shopping on this quiet terrace (away from the busier terraces a little further away) found a place for a drink and a snack. The extremely friendly service, apparently recovered from King's Day, quickly provided us with a wine and our meal. We were so satisfied that we went there again that week. Again positive experience.

Farmland: has nothing to do with the good Drenthe farmland, just bad!

Previously this was a neat hotel now never book. Weird reception and for dinner you can only go across the street. also outside on the terrace is almost never a person while next to it everything is full.Ik never go there again. I come from Drenthe and wanted to 'search' for old memories, which is why I booked there.

Unreliable

New owner does not keep his agreements. Organized party, received confirmation by email and price agreements were made and 3 weeks before the party we received a cancellation because he no longer wanted to give private parties. We were not offered any option or alternative, so there we were with all our guests. Never done it before! Unreliable.
