Too quiet for us

Very very quiet park. The snack bar was only open Monday and Friday. The fresh rolls are very tasty. We had booked a glamping but we thought it was a bit too small for a week with a dog. Wasn't really clean either. At the reception a cottage with additional payment. Was better. Thursday or Friday night it was very hot in the bedroom. Happy Friday for the heat gone. Not really many bike routes we found.

Never again.

Come with family of 7 from Norway to vacation and visit family in Meppel. First impression was good, except for a lot of old dry leaves all over the terrace and dirty outdoor furniture. Gradually noticed that our grandson of one year became dirty on his pants after crabbing on the floor. He took a wet towel and went over a spot on the floor, and it became completely brown. Tested several places on the floor in both the kitchen and living room, and it was really dirty everywhere. Both tables had a thick layer of dust, and there was dirt down the kitchen cabinet. When we checked the bedrooms there were spiders and spiders on both the ceiling and floor, as well as a lot of dust and dirt under the beds. We contacted the reception, but had to wait until the next day to talk to the responsible. Nobody from management or laundry company. We were then offered to have to wait until Monday or wash ourselves, and the latter was already completed before the first night. It was said that we would get compensation for the laundry, but no regrets came, but arguments for why it was dirty and that it was the laundry company's responsibility. Have in the afternoon (one week since departure yesterday) tried to get in touch with the manager, but this has been difficult, and she has not called us up or answered inquiries after we requested this.
In no way would recommend this holiday park, and we will in the future find other accommodations when visiting family in the area.

Not recommended with children

Small park, well maintained, the house was also fine. The park is not recommended if you go with children. Little to do at the park, the swimming pool is full with 5 people in it.
The snack bar must not have a name, order your fries at the reception and get fried somewhere. We left earlier because there wasn't much going on.
We were just the two of us and couldn't have a cozy drink in the evening.

Disappointing! Cold showering during the holidays .. Warm water quickly when staying

Unfortunately, we have experienced our stay at EuroParcs Reestervallei as disappointing. The shower cabin was not clean on arrival. In addition, the park uses a water heater, which runs out of hot water after about five minutes and you then have to shower cold. During the holidays this is especially annoying; even washing hair was not possible. The decor of the accommodation was fine, but otherwise the stay for us was not sufficient.
