Nice stay in a stylish, beautifully located and completely renovated hotel in Schoonhoven
There has been a change of ownership since our previous stay in 2019. The building and furnishings have now been completely renovated but it has retained its (classic) class.
On busy summer days, daytime parking can be a problem. Staff we found this time considerably (customer) friendly. On previous visit everything went very much on autopilot.
We had a room at the back overlooking the river Lek. Room clean and comfortable .With tea and coffee making facilities. Wifi works well.
Dinner in the evening. Attentive, helpful and smooth service.
Breakfast was excellent. Even extensive. Very friendly, elderly lady who keeps a close eye on everything and asks if you want something extra.
Besides the beautiful location, where you can sit outside, an ideal base for cycling. In addition, of course, just on foot to visit the beautiful (silver) town of Schoonhoven.

Nice and nice hotel
The location was actually a bit disappointing. The river side overlooks a cement factory. I was glad to have a room on the city side afterwards. But also that view was not really great.

Enjoying Netherlands.
I strongly recommend this hotel! The food is good. Regarding Schoonhoven it is a little, pittoresque place. I was there in business (on the other side of the canal), and decided to stay in Schoonhoven. Nice experience!

Dining in Schoonhoven at Belvedere
During the drink beforehand we got a delicious hot sandwich and then an amuse.
We decided to go for the fish, that was only possible for 2 people, price 34.75 p.p.
It was a good choice, 5 kinds of fish, delicious chips and delicious sauces.
When it got a bit chillier in the conservatory it was decided to raise the windows a bit, the view remains wonderful with the ferry and the boat traffic you see passing by.
Because of time a cup of coffee for dessert. Definitely worth repeating.
