Disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience. TV was faulty, Bedside lamps did not function, 2 of the 3 lamps in the bathroom were faulty, there was no soap nor shampoo, no drinking cup or glass present, no stopper in the sink, room was unable to get up to temperature, thin duvets and no extra blanket available, bath towel with blood stains, completely worn towel with holes and fraying.
Complaints will not be responded to.
In short, avoid this hotel.

Poor hotel, lots of noise and no security.

I was here 1 night, during my walk on the Brabants Vennenpad. Of all the overnight stays during my walking holiday, this was really the least. The hotel room is fine in itself - the room is small but nice and the bed fine - but there is no supervision or security at all. You have to check in at the bar downstairs but after that you don't hear or see anyone. Through 2 entrance doors (from the outside terrace) you enter but those entrance doors are unlocked so whoever wants can get to the hotel rooms undisturbed. Lucky the room door could be locked but I didn't feel so safe. And the second flaw: there is no rest at all. I was there on Friday night but it was like they were having some house party downstairs from the '90s. Pretty crazy because it's a (small) café so I totally didn't understand that loud music.
Luckily I was only one night but I wouldn't go there again; not even for one night. I'd rather pay a little more. My conclusion: a great hotel for groups of friends or bachelor parties but not for other target groups.

VERY BASIC

Did not realise this was a 2 star hotel when I booked so we had a big surprise to find the room was very small and consisted of beds with one small thin pillow each, 2 old chairs, one small low table, TV with remote control which was not working as batteries had burst inside and a wardrobe. Toilet , sink and shower which had 2 doors that did not meet each other with about 5 cm space in middle. Also supplied thin bath and hand towels. No shower mat so floor was flooded through door space each time shower was used. No hand soap provided.
There is no one on site at any time. You have to speak to member of staff in restaurant downstairs who MAY be able to help. WiFi was nearly non existent in our room, So much so was not worth turning on. Cleaner in every day to chane towels and empty bin. At one point we returned to room while cleaner was in building and found her key in our door with no sign of her nearby so security is really bad. So glad to check out which consisted of putting your key in a metal box outside main door. Much better hotels nearby.

Small but clean

The rooms are very small, but clean.
Towels changed everyday, rooms fully cleaned at least once a week.
Can be noisey on a Friday/Saturday evening.
There is no one on site of an evening, so if you lose your key or need assistance you have to wait until the next day.There is no emergency number.Which can be frustrating
The window in my room wouldn’t close or lock properly, but if a security issue.
Bathrooms are good. Powerful shower, and always had hot water.
Bedroom could do with a refurbishment, especially a more solid door and lock on window would be nice.
WiFi was good also.

Good hotel, on main square

We stayed for a very brief night as we were in the area for a friend's going away party. Check-in was at the bar downstairs and went pretty quick. The room was clean, with fast wifi and a nice shower. We skipped the breakfast. The location is above some bars, so be aware there will be some noise. Overall, I found is somewhat pricey, but not overly so. Overall a pretty average experience.
