Amazing stay with exceptional food

My wife and I stayed here 2 nights in our Norway road trip to explore the glaciers and lakes in the area. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the gondola ans well. Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. First off, we were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was very spacious. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. All the staff were very polite and friendly, offering great service. What really stood out was the incredible breakfast and dinner buffets, which were both included in the price. That was a huge draw for booking the hotel and it did not disappoint at all. There were many food options and everything was delicious. While the hotel definitely isn’t cheap, I’d say it provides great value given the luxury atmosphere, the food, there service, and the comfort. We also loved the pool area, with multiple pools and hot tubs. Overall exceptional stay in Loen.

Fantastic relaxing and over expectation

The stay started with our room being ready an hour before check-in, which in turn meant we had extra time to relax in the spa and in the room before dinner. We were assigned our own table as we had the entire stay for dinner and breakfast. The room was so bright and nice and large. Fight nice balcony overlooking the fjord, and everything was so clean and orderly. Despite the fact that the hotel was full-booked, we did not experience a crowd of people or any extra waiting time either in the spa or for dinner. The buffet is the finest I've ever seen, with everything you could want from hot and cold dishes. It tasted great.
The same goes for breakfast. Fantastic food and incredible selection. For 130 kr you get to lubricate yourself food package, and you get a lot of food at that price. It was easy with parking outside, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You felt very welcome. Best hotel experience I've had, and really recommended both to families with children and adults alone on a trip.

Room smelled putrid

Came there for one night.
When we went into the room, it smelled like feces, and it appears as if they drainage system backed up. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available They came in and sprayed the room and it smells good for a short period of time. But when we wake up in the morning and went to the bathroom, it smelled again as if the septic system backed up into the bathroom
I would never stay there again

Overpriced and pay extra for everything

Overpriced! We did not get the rooms as put on Booking. Mini bathroom. Pool nice but cold. Sauna and wellness for an additional fee. Dog supplement but no basket. Billiards fee. Basically pay almost everything extra!
No cappuccino to be had throughout the hotel.
No coffee or tea in the rooms.
Charge for the high price.
Dinner not top, no fantasy, kind of standard german cuisine

Meet all expectations

Very nice hotel, with great location and good service. Always as cool to stop for a night here on longer trips. Good food and good selection, great good buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Clean and nice rooms. Nice common areas.
