Walk out more campsite

Great campsite, Scottish and crooked. Find a place. Minus is plumbing, is not designed for high season. Temporary supply flooded. Bakery / fresh bread in the morning is nice but very heavy bread. Bathing water is super clear and very fun to try.

Everything great - we would come back

Nicely located and quiet. Great panorama. Quaint and very well equipped and clean cottage with all comforts. Staff very friendly. They also speak German. Own bakery with wood stove on site. Very good wifi. Space and cottages highly recommended.

A great first camping experience of my life

This campground was a nice first camping experience. I had never camped in my whole life, and then at an age of 22, I got to camp here for the first time. It is a spacious campground with plenty of spots. This campground also offers beautiful spots by the water, but we did not choose this ourselves. We chose a spot near a picnic bench, which allowed us to barbecue, and have a nice meal at a table. The tents were next to it and the car was used as a sort of pantry.
Facilities are nil off-season, although the free showers are ideal. We had a good warm up in the morning after a cold night, then were able to get our breakfast at the COOP Prix around the corner, after the tents were taken down, and we cleaned up our mess nicely. As far as I could see here, there was a small store on the camping grounds, which unfortunately was closed. For campers, or other camping guests, there was also an outdoor water tap next to the little store and sanitary building, where you could wash your dishes. Inside the sanitary building, there were also a few toilets and changing rooms.
The owner lives on the property and is easily accessible. Very nice people. I can't tell much about the prices yet, since unfortunately I haven't had anywhere else to camp.

Long weekend ski trip to Roldal

Due to a flight delay I arrived rather later than I wanted to at 8pm and the drive from Bergen took me longer than expected hitting the traffic from the airport at 16:10 across Bergen town centre wasting 40 minutes, waiting 15 minutes for the ferry boat from Gjermundshamn to Arsnes costing NOK 137 after just missing one too (apparently the road tolls on that route are cheaper than going across the ferry to Jondal so somebody told me) so factor in 4 hours of travelling just to do 115 miles oh yeah and it was raining with sleet at times travelling in the dark negotiating single track bridges after the ferry and the climb up towards Roldal and down to the village. So staying in a campsite in a self catering hut for three nights was roughly £54 (hotel prices are £90 up per night in comparison) bedding & towel was NOK 70 from memory and clean up fee NOK 250. If you clean up and put out your own garbage I think you don't get charged but will wait and see as I haven't checked out as of yet. Finding the campsite was well signposted but I had the exact coordinates 59.8296° N, 6.8103° E punched into the satellite navigation anyway (useful exact coordinates the Co Op supermarket is 59.8322° N, 6.8194° E, Roldal ski centre is 59.8229° N, 6.7402° E but they are all easy to find without them). So arriving late the reception hut was shut so I had to go to the campsite owners house to check in and pay instead. The lady showed me the basics where my wooden hut was turned on the electric heater for it and where the shower and wash block was. Because of the weather conditions it was very icy with rain on top making it a slippery walk from the hut to the shower/toilet block so in winter be ready for that. My hut 3 was too far away to get the wifi signal from the main building but the mobile internet worked fine and I could use my European allowance so not an issue really). Even the shower/toilet block was too far away for a wifi signal. I think there was a common room in the main building where you definitely got wifi signal to use but I did have issues connecting. So the shower/toilet block had I think it was 3 showers 6 toilets but it was enough maybe in peak summer it may not. A coin operated washing machine and dryer. The shower hot water price was NOK 10 for 4 minutes or NOK 5 for 2 minutes and the hot water in the sinks was free so if you were tight you could use the waste bucket from the room fill it with warm water from the sink and chuck it over your head as you do in a Japanese communal washroom. The wooden hut had an electric heater, two burner electric hob, plenty of plates and cutlery, tin opener and other kitchen tools, the fridge was big with a freezer compartment which was good, a coffee tea maker machine, one double bed with a single bunk bed above it, a sofa next to it that could be turned into another double bed and a kitchen table with 4 chairs, plenty of electric lights and electric plugs (for 3 people fine but 5 people probably not). There is no sink or running water in the hut so you have to go to the shower/toilet block with your waste and fresh water bucket to get that (some huts at other campsites do have cold running water and a sink inside the huts) so that's a minor inconvenience and no mirror obviously that's in the shower/toilet block too. There is a vacuum cleaner to tidy up any mess so the hut is well equipped with items overall and was clean. The costs in Norway of everything are high so having these campsites helps to reduce the trip costs which is handy. There's enough parking and a reasonable amount of campsite hook ups for campervans but I saw a few caravans connected never a camper-van but it was winter. Overall a good place to stay.

Enjoyable stay at the Seim Camping

This was our first experience with camping in Norway and Seim camping was an excellent choice. The views over the mountains are magnificent, the camping area is clean and neat. The staff is very hospitable and helpful! Our our hook up cable for our camper wasn't the correct one to use in Norway. We were helped immediately by staff. We had a lovely stay.Great little campsite and great value. It was close Trolltunga hike. Definitely will stay here again the next time we are in Norway!!
