Nice hotel in beautiful old Swiss villa

Nice small hotel with historic sus in the middle of Rosendal. Very welcoming staff. Large and Very nice room in newly renovated part of 3. Floor. We were well received and arranged for with dog. Good breakfast. The hotel also has its own restaurant with a pleasant patio and very good food.

Expensive for few facilities

The photos and description on the website do not match the actual.
It's more of a B&B than a hotel. Overrated
Only the location is good.
During our stay there was no restaurant and the first evening the bar was closed.
Outside the room only breakfast and you pay the main price for this

Takk for tilbakemelding. Du/ dere har booket rom med privat bad i oktober mnd., helt utenom sesong for Rosendal Turisthotell.
Vi gjør oppmerksom på at hotellet og restauranten ikke ligger i en "storby", derfor har vi ingen mulighet til å ha åpen restaurant i vinter halvåret. Dette forklarte jeg dere ved innsjekk og fikk aksept for det. Gjester som nå besøker oss uten om sesong har booket plass på nyervervelsen restaurant IRIS / Salmone Eye. De aller fleste har full forståelse for at vår restaurant har stengt, vi har åpen bar og vi serverer frokost. Var baren stengt for dere (en tirsdag i Rosendal) så må dere ha kommet etter kl. 22.00, beklager at vi ikke hadde åpent da. Vi bor selv på hotellet og serverer gjerne våre gjester fra baren, men ikke til alle døgnets tider. Mvh. OveH Rosendal Turisthotell

Cute place

It's a very cute but basic hotel. The hotel does not have any standard necessaries like a normal hotel does, no soap , shampoo , hairdryer , iron in the rooms. We called in before we booked the hotel and asked for two separate beds in the room and they confirmed several weeks ahead that it’s no issue. When we arrived after a long trip they gave us a double bed so we had to leave the room and have them rearrange the room for us.
Also they don't clean the rooms during your stay, even though we asked for it. Most of the staff are really nice and helpful, the women in the kitchen are so sweet gets you whatever you need.
We were two people in our room but only had towels/robe for one person so we asked a man downstairs several times for more towels so both of us could shower but he never delivered it to us. The hotel was not busy but he just ignored the task and told us he will get to it soon. I couldnt shower that day because of it.
I had to drag him with me end of the day after approaching him several times about it since the morning and we went to several rooms and picked towels from other rooms in the end together. He never supplied a second robe though and was quite dismissive about it. 
Food in the restaurant is great, so is the breakfast, again, staff , besides the man with the towels were all amazing :)
