Our Stay in National Hotel Lahore

We had a lovely stay in National Hotel Lahore. The hotel is well in the hub of Lahore, with all the basic necessities of life just round the corner. The management was polite and humble. Worth a stay!

Conditions

Totally irresponsible staff.. Rooms are totally bad in condition.. U can hear other voice in any other room.. Nothing is valuable in this hotel.. U just going to waste your money in this 3 no hotel...

Dirty rooms and bed bug infestation

Would not be going back here. Dirty hotel, toilets and showers seem as though they have never been cleaned, bed spreads were stained and a serious bed bug infestation in the hotel.
We had to go through practically every room in the building to find the least dirty room. Struggled to sleep at night and left first thing in the morning. Needs a complete overhaul as the location is ideal but the cleanliness is appalling!

Please Please avoid

I stayed i this hotel in 2007 it was a pleasant , keeping the past experience on my visit to Lahore I booked the same hotel . When I reached there & at the time of checking In all the staff was very courteous & humble . I was with my family & wanted to stay there for 5 nights . Once they received the payments for 5 nights there attitude changed . I was shocked to see the state of the rooms , dirty , smelly & totally opposite the pictures shows in the hotel website . Further more the room rates included breakfast . The next day when I reached at the dinning hall I was informed by one of the waiter in a very apologetic manner that the breakfast has finished & only bread toast , Butter & Jam is available ( Reached the dinning hall at 08:00 AM .) bed bugs in the bed , bathroom drainage system was blocked . In all a very bad experience for 1 night , shifted to another place the very next day ................. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID >

SERIOUS BED BUG INFESTATION-- AVOID

I have never seen such a nasty bed bug infestation in my life, and I live in New York.
To clarify, for those who might not realize the seriousness of bed bugs:
This is not your average bug. When I checked into the National Hotel, I saw right away that there was a serious ant problem in the bathroom but I didn't really mind. Though gross, ants are harmless.
Bed bugs are another matter.
They take weeks (if you're lucky) and usually months to get rid of. You have to bag your stuff and clean every scrap you have. Even then, it's likely you'll end up tossing a lot. They spread like wildfire.
When I was lying in bed at the National and saw five bed bugs all over the mattress, I couldn't believe how bad it was. Usually, you don't see bed bugs, only feel their bites and see their evidence. Once you see them, you have a very bad problem on your hands indeed.
When I went down to the lobby to tell them, I saw an exterminator at work in another room. The entire hotel is infested. Don't be fooled. Even if you don't see them, they will come out while you're sleeping. The hotel can't just exterminate the rooms where they've been spotted, that just drives them onto different floors!
In the end, my room was switched-- several times as I kept seeing new insects-- and my things were hosed down with a toxic spray. After this, I was asked to give a tip. Give me a break.
I am going to switch hotels as soon as it is morning.
As for the non bed-bug stuff: the pictures look nothing like the rooms. They are very dirty. The food is bad but cheap. All in all, your basic shabby hotel. Except with a SERIOUS infestation issue!
