Affordable, clean and friendly hotel in Katowice

Very affordable hotel, close to the University, two tram stops and a comfortable stroll from the train station.
Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, actually a good breakfast buffet (you can eat your fill (and then some more) for 40 zloty.
A bit noise from the highway, but it dies out by the time to go to sleep anyway.
Rooms have aircondition, which is nice, but you can also open the window in a pinch.
If you want a simple (affordable) place to stay in Katowice, this is the place.
I stayed here three nights three years ago in the summer, and three nights now in July. It holds up well. :)

Outstanding attention from receptionist Mrs. Klaudia

Even the hotel has been completely up to my expectations in any aspect (location, cleanliness, etc.), the helpfulness, friendliness and problem-solving attitude of the receptionist Mrs. Klaudi deserves a special recognition.
Outstanding friendly while solving every problem - and even several at the time - is an excellent work attitude which I have experienced very seldom.
Not forgetting her very helpful recommendations regarding public transport, attractions and restaurant possibilities in the city.
She made the difference between a good and an excellent stay.

It ok, the area is a bit scary at night so I got a tai back from the bar street every night. Room was basic and clean. On day 2 I was woken up early in the morning by loud noises on the corridor from the cleaning staff and someone tried to enter by room and I shouted No. I might stay here again, staff spoke good English and not far from the train station just 10 mins by taxi

Super hotel, great option for weekend break, hotel is located location for travelling, plus three is a good service in cantine (thanks for Anastasia).

1 star dirty hotel

Dirty 1-star hotel, small rooms.
I booked a double room, the small room, walls for many years not whitewashed and still "black", dirty and noisy ventilation system.
On the floor carpet with a lot of dust evident to the naked eye (I am also strongly asthmatic)
Windows with blocks, to open them a little, too bad my window didn't open even that little!
I asked for a room change:
Changed in two minutes same situation but at least with 2sqm more.
There is no hairdryer, in the structure they have a travel one to share with all rooms.
Experience not to be recommended
