Right on the beach

Amazing hotel, perfect location just a few steps from the beach.
Very relaxing atmosphere,nice and friendly staff

Didn’t feel very welcome, wrong room and didn’t love Sopot

We chose Sopot for our honeymoon, which was perhaps a mistake. It wasn’t the beach destination we had been told of. The weather did not help - grey and rain but Sopot just felt quite “Great Yarmouth”. It wasn’t a patch on Ibiza that we visited in June.
Our welcome at the hotel was ok, we arrived and got a welcome drink. Had to wait for our room as we got there early. When we did get our room it wasn’t what we had booked… a second floor room with a tree right outside was not the seaview room we paid handsomely for! We went down to reception to check and was offered a different room but not for another two nights later. Our room was very dark, oppressive and lacking in any view. The shower was dangerous getting in and out of the bath. The staff were not very helpful or receptive to changing. This was our feeling the whole stay and they didn’t even ask if we had a nice stay when we left!
The spa is very nice and we had some excellent massage treatments. We also liked the indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi.
The bar was not very big and service could be slow, especially when the football was on but some of the bar staff were nice. We visited the Sofitel grand hotel and the bar service there was a different world for similar priced drinks.
We paid lot of money to stay here compared to London, Ibiza, Cornwall… in fact most places we have been and it didn’t really live up to the cost. I really don’t know why this area is so expensive. Maybe with sunshine it would be better.
Our room on the the 3rd floor we eventually got was quite nice, with a good view.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for choosing Sopot Marriott Resort & Spa for such a special occasion as your honeymoon. We are truly sorry that your stay did not fully meet your expectations and that it did not create the memorable experience you had hoped for.
First and foremost, I would like to sincerely apologize once again for the disappointment regarding your initially assigned room. As we discussed personally during your stay, I made every effort to find a suitable solution for you as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, due to the hotel operating at 100% occupancy during the peak summer season, all rooms within your booked category, as well as higher categories, were already occupied by checked-in guests. As a result, an immediate room change was simply not possible.
Despite these limitations, I was able to arrange the only available solution by moving you to another room within the same category on a higher floor as soon as it became available after the previous guests checked out in accordance with our standard check-out and check-in times. I truly appreciate your understanding and your willingness to accept this solution. I am pleased to read that you ultimately enjoyed the room and its beautiful sea view.
Regarding the view from the initial room, I would also like to explain that our hotel is located directly on the Baltic coastline, where the natural vegetation changes over time. Unfortunately, we have no influence over the trees growing between the hotel and the beach. Additionally, our promotional photographs are not updated every year, so the surrounding landscape may differ slightly from what is shown in the images. We completely understand how this may have affected your expectations, and we sincerely regret your disappointment.
I was also sorry to learn that you felt our team was not sufficiently helpful. Please be assured that our priority was to find the best possible solution under exceptionally challenging circumstances due to the hotel's full occupancy. During our conversation, it was also my pleasure to personally congratulate you on your honeymoon on behalf of our entire team. This is why I am especially disappointed that, despite our efforts, we were unable to leave you with a more positive overall impression.
Thank you as well for your kind comments regarding our spa facilities, massages, indoor pool, outdoor jacuzzi, and the room you were eventually moved to. It is wonderful to know that these aspects of your stay were enjoyable.
With regard to pricing, we certainly understand your perspective. Sopot is one of Poland's most popular seaside destinations, and during the summer season accommodation prices across the city are significantly influenced by exceptionally high demand and the limited number of beachfront hotels. This is characteristic of the local market rather than unique to our hotel. We also completely understand that the weather did not cooperate during your visit. Unfortunately, while we wish we could offer sunshine every day, the Baltic climate can be unpredictable, and unlike destinations such as Ibiza, we have no influence over the weather conditions, which undoubtedly affect the overall holiday experience.
We genuinely hope you will remember not only the initial disappointment but also the positive moments of your stay. We would truly appreciate the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and would be grateful if you gave us another chance to provide you with the experience you originally expected.

Nice hotel by the sea

Good resort hotel. Breakfast is also good, as are the dinner options. A little crowded given that it is a resort hotel. Excellent location by the beach. Nicely renovated rooms.

Generally I would recommended this hotel

We have few days during last UK bank holiday, Location is very suitable with a little bit walking distance to the Sopot pier. Atmosphere in hotele most of the time is relaxing. Rooms and big enough with separate toilet (in plus), however they a little bit dated. Regarding price well value as per Polish riviera standards. Cleanness level 100% as you would expected in Poland. Noise level was ok (except last day due to group of people in jacuzzi having too much "fun") - unfortunately no one intervene from hotel staff. Plus for sure is all SPA including great massagers team, pools and saunas.

Good but some annoyances.

Nice hotel in a great location with very good breakfast. It is outrageous that a 10% "service fee" is automatically charged at the bar. An elevator was out of order for 2 days, so we had to climb many stairs. The staff did not accommodate our request to have breakfast outside in the sunshine. No service, no clearing of tables (1 hour). The padded headboard of the bed was quite worn with marks, which was rather unpleasant. Changing the booking was a cumbersome mammoth task.
