Great hotel in the center of Wroclaw

It’s hard to even call it a hostel. It is really within walking distance from the center. Parking in the yard, not enough space, but there was plenty for us. Towels are provided at the reception. There is an elevator. The rooms are combined into blocks of several, inside the block there is a common kitchen with everything you need. There is a lot of space in the room. Warm. There's nothing wrong with the water. WiFi is rather weak, but, however, we managed to do everything. Well deserves an excellent rating.

Loud as India. Huge waste of wonderful building

The beautiful building is newly renovated, and you can see that there was a huge work done, but nothing works as it should. Space is organised without any idea. They made such stupid mistakes like hanging curtains which doesn't cover all the window. There are smoking areas on the staircase (what an idea?), full of drunk and loud people all night. Acoustic in the property is such, you can hear your neighbors snoring. Or shouting. Depends on them. You hear every door slapping. It's so annoying. I can't imagine having a good rest here.

Never again!

Me and my fiance were in Wroclaw for a romantic trip. Everything will be great except the hostel... The hostel was in renovation during our stay, so it was't clear enough in the staircase or near surrounding. After our entry to the room - the first feeling was ok. It was clean. We had the private bathroom and it was terrible. The smell was unbearable - it was a sewer smell. Then we went to explore the city. After our back we saw the workers from renovation with beers and cigarettes at the staircase. They were wery loudly and drunk. I was very afraid to stay here at night. The cigarettes smell was in our room also. I put my clothes at the door to block the smell, but there was no effect. I submitted this to the reception, but at the evening this situation happened again. We didn't stay here for the last night. We were back home to spend some romantic together. We never back to this hostel again.

Hostel better than some hotels

There's one thing about hostels there's no food included but Vanilla hostel solved that thing well. Kitchens are in rooms or in the corridor they're big and comfortable. Rooms are big, look modern and have own bathrooms which are clean and just good. I surely recommend this place to stay in if you had not so much money.

Cheap and cheerful

A lovely old building that has been converted into a hostel. Close to the old town and reasonable rates. Each unit has a little ensuite bathroom and there is a kitchen for preparing light meals. Towels can be hired cheaply. The room was clean. The staff were helpful but do not speak much English.
The room was very stuffy despite high ceilings. As it can get very hot in the summer, this could very a problem. Our room was on a very busy street that was noisy at all hours so we could not sleep with the windows open. The foam mattress was not very thick and a single thin pillow was provided. The street lights shone directly into the room, as the curtains were transparent. The wall between adjoining rooms was rather thin. Whilst in bed I could feel transmitted thumps from our neighbours and hear snoring.
This accommodation is excellent for tight budgets but could be improved.
