A real family
We went to this hotel because of the hot tubs and the diet, and we left there full of heart. It is impossible to explain everything you feel in that place without first talking about the people. Dona Fatima (and the family!) are really the soul of that house. Mr. Gaspar, Orlando and Olavo, Marcia... The whole family has a way of receiving that no longer exists today. We didn't feel like guests, we felt like we were at someone's home!
The food... my God. We were mentalized to diet, but it was impossible to resist. All super tasty, made with a lot of love, from those dishes that know (better!) than the ones at home! And the most impressive is their attention. They seemed to have guessed what we needed before we even asked. After a few days they knew our habits, what we liked, what time we showed up, and everything was ready with an incredible naturalness.
Breakfast was maybe the only thing that we initially felt less adapted to our diet, but we just talked and immediately showed themselves available to buy everything needed and even brought us soup when we asked. They solved everything in the best way and always with a unique sympathy.
Everything was impeccably clean, the room was super hot, and it seemed like every day we were lying in newly washed beds. There was always that care in the details that makes all the difference. The living room with fireplace and games was another wonderful detail.
And then there were unique things. The fact that Mr. Gaspar was going to open the door to us early in the morning to go for a walk, as soon as we sat at the table were already attentive to everything, as they never left missing absolutely anything. Always worried if we were okay, if we needed something, always with a smile.
We left with the feeling that we created a friendship there. It was more than just a stay. It was from those rare places where we felt true care, genuine attention and a familiar environment hard to find. We're absolutely sure we'll be back.
For those who will do the thermal diet, and for those who will not, I super recommend the Baltazar hotel!

Typical restaurant and house
Hotel of the time. 1 night is enough because it is true not modern at the level of rooms and cramped shower to see again, but very clean.
But then what a welcome from the son who speaks a little French. The whole family is there and works where help.
Dinner is typical, cheap and delicious.
We recommend for this flawless fraternity, they deserve our passage.

A family adventure
Inn that needs good youth,dark room even in broad daylight,very small shower once the walls are closed because of the tap that takes up a lot of space,leakage at shower walls,closet door that does not slide and lack of air conditioning,which is a shame because the property owner is the staff are very nice and professional

Wild boar with chestnuts
We went for a family trip and passing by we saw an advise saying "wild boar with chestnuts", something that me and my family love so we decided to stop. It didn't disapoint! The entries were very good, but the meal itself was very well cooked, the meat was tasty and soft, it was the best meal of the little vacations that we took!

As the tourist office advised, "A Normal Hotel".
We spent 2 nights here while hiking & visiting the Peneda National Park. The hotel is worthy of its ** rating being a basic no frills and affordable establishment but that's it. The staff are very friendly, some English spoken, and the on site restaurant is a plus as well. At 45€ per night, our stay was a bargain. A good nights sleep after long hikes!
