Pestana Hotel spectacular nice.
Excellent customer service from Mr. Joao
He is an straight forward gentleman with a big heart and knows how to make the
guests, feel at home from home!
Also Mr. Shah/Saif, kept our room, impeccable clean!

Disappointing
Not 4 star and not serviced, there lots of points i could raise , on a positive pool is pristine and kept so by the pool staff. facilities and breakfast at the Pestana casino hotel superb . The suites are situated across the road from the main hotel not a problem when dry but even when raining only a short dash. There is a lift to all floors , the entrance to each floor is via a fire door , this cannot have a door closer so ever time some one lets go it is like a bomb going off. See view suites at the front have sea views floor 4 and up , Rooms are tired , fridge was totally frozen ice box , bottles in the door made it tip, bathroom unit draws have split and swollen with humidity. Staff were not very engaging, linen was clean and fresh but checks were not carried out when serviced we had to ask for towels that were not left, tea bags , bin bags you only get one for a week , sanitary bags i had to buy ... The pool should close at 8pm but is not monitored we had people drinks round the pool until the early hours not ideal for those on the ground floor . Having stayed now in the suites and the hotel , i would recommend the hotel everything here felt 2nd class

Hotel self catering apartment experience
First impression of this modern space age building in the dark not good. At reception warm welcome from Halder who gave us an upgrade on our sea view room. Compact room for 2. But, the morning brings the full vista of a sunny Madeira start to our balcony, with unique sun shades. The bed/bedding was one of the most comfortable we have slept in. No toaster but toasting rack in combo oven/microwave. Rain shower brilliant to go with soft fluffy bath sheets. Very secure building with key cards. Had problem with locked safe, reported to reception and fixed in 15 minutes. Excellent cleaning every day if required. Lovely pool and sunbeds (towels provided) Good location. Used the facilities at the hotel especially the bar on entertainment nights ( thanks Vanessa and Simona ) All the staff at both sites most helpful in relation to our stay.

Hidden Madeira Gem
“I recently stayed at Pestana Casino Studios and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The apartments were spotless, modern, and really comfortable – everything you’d want for a relaxing stay.
What really stood out though was the service. The night-time receptionist on Wednesday the 15th couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, which made a big difference after a long day of travel.
Great location, great facilities, and outstanding staff – I’ll definitely be returning!”

TOO POSH TO WASH
the Studios were clean, the self catering facilities were very minimal, the shower was excellent. the location was very good. the indoor pool at the hotel that we used once was an issue, it seems to be attended by people who are TOO POSH TO WASH, we always shower before and after using pools, but despite there being notices they were ignored. maybe bigger signs would help with guests hard of EYESIGHT
