Very well maintained facility, very friendly and helpful staff, Our room was relatively large and had a cozy decor.
Without a car it is a bit cumbersome to get to the town, taxi/ Uber are poorly available in this area.

Portuguese dump.

My wife and I stayed here for the last two nights of our walking tour of the Rota Vicentina. It was booked on our behalf by a tour company (we will have a separate conversation with them), all the other accommodation had been great.
The location is very quiet and peaceful, it’s 2.3 miles from the town of Odeceixe. We arranged a taxi to get us into town one of the evenings and bought food in a supermarket for the other. Its location wouldn’t be a problem if you have a car.
Our room was large and dark, a patio door leads out to the garden. Facilities were beyond awful. There was a kettle, two dirty cups, no teaspoon and no tea/coffee. The tray they were on was dirty. The room was too dingy to assess cleanliness elsewhere. As far as servicing the room is concerned, someone had made the bed, the bathroom/toilet had not been cleaned and toilet paper not replenished.
The website describes a bar and restaurant, there was no such thing. Staff seemed to disappear about 6pm, there were no facilities after this time.
In all the other hotels/guesthouses we had stayed in the breakfast was excellent. Here, there were some cereals, a little fruit (poor quality) but the scrambled eggs (the only hot food offered) were ok.
This ‘hotel’ is supposed to be 3 stars, it doesn’t really deserve one. We were here at the busy part of the walking season, the fact that only three of the 12 available rooms were occupied says it all.
Avoid at all costs.

delightful, peaceful inn

Friendly staff, great food and a peaceful setting made for a wonderful two night stay. The wine served with dinner is priced affordable and the port poured with the desert was a treat! The breakfast buffet provided for plenty of variety and sufficient in advance of a day of hiking. The walk to the beach from the hotel is easy and worth it.

The setting is beautiful, with a lap pool and pond adjacent. Our room had a kitchenette, so helpful as the place is 3 km from town. Pedro and his furry friends are all fabulous.

The whole place had a very relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend staying here when walking the Rota Vicentina.

I stayed at Casa Vicentina with my wife for 2 nights while walking a section of the Rota Vicentina in May 2022. We had a twin bedded room. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable with high quality bedlinen. Everything was spotlessly clean. We were made welcome on arrival and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. A beautiful breakfast with plenty of choice of bakery and dairy products, with fresh fruit, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Dinner was freshly cooked and tasty, but this is only provided at certain times of the year to cater for walkers. The swimming pool was clean and set adjacent to a beautiful pond with frogs that croaked in the evening. Abundant birdlife in the garden included hoopoes. The whole place had a very relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend staying here when walking the Rota Vicentina.
