Fantastic stay with an incredible breakfast!
We had a wonderful time at Mira Corgo Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and the highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast. There was an amazing selection, everything tasted fresh, and it was the perfect way to start our day. Highly recommend!

Not a bad hotel but NOT a 4 Star one

I've stayed at the Miracorgo previously as it's really the only option when visiting family in Vila Real and therein lies the problem because there is no real competition the hotel doesn't have to try too hard.
The good points are it's spotlessly clean and in the centre of things with a short walk to bars and restaurants, the underground car park is a bonus and the staff I've encountered are friendly and pleasant. What lets this place down and the reason it isn't a 4 star establishment in my opinion are the very dark and dated rooms, bathrooms with shower curtains (very 1980s) I've never yet been to any 4 star hotel that had them, extremely average offerings at breakfast time, small plates so presumably you don't take too much food, hit and miss room cleaning, on this last visit our room was totally untouched, I had to restock our bathroom with toilet rolls from one of the toilets near the bar, and whilst on the subject of loo rolls the ones supplied are very cheap, no room safe, 1 chair on the balcony in a room that 2 people were using. None of this is what I would expect from a 4 star establishment but as previously stated as there aren't really any other options I'm guessing the Miracorgo thinks it can get away with it. It's time to do something about it, either knock a star off or spend some money and bring the place up to date. It could be so much better!

What you expect you get.

A well maintained hotel. Parking opportunity ok. Watch out for the walk on the platforms. It seems easier than it is

Great breakfast and secure garage parking for my motorcycle. Super views from my balcony across the gorge. Lovely place, I would visit again
