Top location - central in Bad Ischl

I became aware of the accommodation through the tourism association. The hotel is only offered with overnight stay without breakfast. However, that was not a problem for us since there are great breakfast options in the immediate vicinity. The Sandwirt is a few minutes' walk from the center. The rooms with bath and toilet are clean and functionally furnished. The manager is very friendly and the process from booking to checkout is very uncomplicated. The price-performance ratio was also fine. In the entrance area, there is a vending machine and there is even a rooftop terrace available. We arrived by train, so I cannot provide any information about the parking situation.

Hotel for catching the train the next morning

The hotel was booked because it had to catch a train to Vienna airport early the next morning, and although the hotel had some high prices and quality, the landlord, the old lady, who was not allowed that, put up with it. By the way, the scenery on the road from St. Wolfgang to Bad Isher is so beautiful, and the town of Bad Isher itself is pretty, it is recommended to visit Princess Sissy's betrothed large garden for €6 each (the house is said to have been introduced in German, and we did not go inside). There's also a big supermarket in town called EuroStar, not far from the hotel, where you can buy ingredients to make a dinner.

The staff is nice, check-in and check-out went really well. It's more of a guesthouse than a hotel. There are parking spaces, but they are quickly taken. The rooms are clean and quiet. Otherwise nothing special. The price is a bit high for the type of accommodation.

Phantastic stay

Phantastic budget accomodation. Apparently, the "Wirtshaus" has closed so this is only a place to stay overnight and enjoy a superb breakfast. The upside now is that no cigarette smoke and no noise from the former "Wirtshaus" disturb your dreams. I utterly enjoyed my stay and would come back any time.

Nice, easy and a rich breakfast

Very nice staff welcomes the guests. The breakfast has a very nice selection of almost everything and a daily special was offered when we were there. The rooms are rather simple but clean, just enough for a few days.
