Time out in paradise
We were able to spend a fantastic week at Hotel Sonnasita. Silvia and Peter run your hotel with passion and take care of the well-being of their two- and four-legged guests around the clock. Every wish is literally read off your lips here. We felt at home from the first moment and saying goodbye a lot then a bit difficult. The ski slopes are top and it had very few skiers, which is why we hardly had to wait at the ski lifts. Now we are already looking forward to the next reunion, because we will definitely come back. Full score and absolute recommendation!

Suite did not match the description
We had booked the Sonnasita Suite (highest room category). The description on the website and in the booking confirmation included pictures, a room plan and concrete features such as panoramic views, balcony from the bedroom, separate toilet and an entrance hall.
However, the room actually allocated differed from this in several respects. Instead of a panoramic view, there was a view of a mountainside with an adjacent building at a very short distance. Also a separate toilet, an anteroom and a balcony from the bedroom were not present in the assigned room.
The deviations were addressed at the reception. Unfortunately, no alternative solution or proposal for clarification was offered. Instead, it was announced very quickly that the bill would be ready. So we felt compelled to stop the stay after one night and organize a new accommodation at short notice – several hundred kilometers from home.
Even the dinner did not meet the level we would have expected in this category. For example, the salad buffet seemed unlovely and composed predominantly of canned products, rather simple overall.
The location of the hotel is very attractive for skiers, as the ski lift is right next to the house. However, the situation is less ideal for dog owners in winter: The hiking trail is used as a ski trail during this time, so the possibilities for relaxed walks are significantly limited.
In the subsequent conciliation procedure, the impression was also created that discrepancies between the advertised representation of a room and the actual equipment were fundamentally within the scope of the hotel's view. We do not share this view, as we assume that concretely presented features are also reliably present when booking.
The difference became particularly clear to us afterwards at the 'Alternative Hotel': There, rooms were described very transparently and already clearly distinguished by different names. At the reception, details such as the difference between walk-in shower and shower in the bathtub were even actively explained. This clarity creates trust and avoids misunderstandings.
The reception at Hotel Sonnasita was very friendly and sometimes even exuberant (e.g. photo of our dog for a pinboard and treats). In retrospect, however, this first impression contrasted sharply with the later handling of the complaint.
This review is not intended to be a blanket review, but to reflect our concrete experience so that other guests can better rate their expectations.

Great overall package of hotel, hosts and fine food.
We really liked it!
A family run hotel with great, very attentive hosts and nice rooms.

Easy way not to top!!!
Simply awesome: already here for the third time and the sequel follows... from A-Z everything fits here!! Silvia, Peter and their top team give their all to make their guests and four-legged friends an unforgettable stay! Junior suite perfect, food unsurpassable; not forgetting the breakfast buffet... Loving and personal atmosphere. Those who seek contact will find him - those who prefer to stay alone, as well as...

Family run dog hotel!
Hotel to our taste! Family run, dog friendly, good food, super nice staff in all areas. Highly recommended!
Spacious, comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi, large flat-screen TV, extra folding lying area for the dog, balcony with table, chairs and outdoor light, bathroom with walk-in shower, hairdryer, room safe. The rooms are well insulated, even when the window is open very quietly, as little traffic in the evening.
The breakfast buffet is amazing, there is almost everything! Of fruit, different cheeses and sausages, different fish, caviar, different cereals and juices, different alarm clocks, breads and breads, etc. etc. You can also order fried eggs, egg dishes and soft eggs with different ingredients, in the last 4J the best breakfast buffet we have seen.
Dinner consists of salad buffet, two different starters of your choice, (1x normal, 1x vegetarian), three different main courses of your choice (2x normal, 1x vegetarian) and one dessert.
My wife is vegetarian and lactose intolerant and I am a rather delicate eater, but all sensitivities are dealt with without problems and I tasted things here that I never normally ate. Hats off to the kitchen , where the chef himself and a second chef are accessed.
The whole staff is super friendly and also pet friendly. Requests, complaints, suggestions are promptly addressed and solutions are sought as quickly as possible.
The hotel is located at just over 1400m above sea level, but this also has its advantages. Due to the good public transport connections (from 3 nights the guest card with free use of public transport and numerous other discounts is included) you can Enterprise directly from the hotel without your own car, a lot of hikes and excursions. From the highway it is between 45min - 1h to the hotel depending on the direction.
In summer hikes directly from the hotel possible, in winter skiing directly from the hotel possible. There is a wellness oasis, with Finnish sauna, bio sauna, salt sauna, steam bath and associated relaxation room.
We will definitely come back!
