Ideal for a stay at the Festspiele

Very high-standard hotel, near the amphitheater where the Bregenzer Festspiele take place. Private parking, unsupervised, a charging station for e-cars, but only a single terminal (22kw/h). Very good breakfast, spacious and quiet rooms. Very clean.

Bregenz best Hotel

This hotel is set in a perfect spot on Lake Constance. It is very laid back and relaxing. The rooms are standard but there is so much to do you will not spend any time in there. The room was clean and comfortable. There was no noise. The wellness area was great. Spa, sauna and pool were perfect. The gym is ok for cardio but its small. Very limited weights. There are beaches and pools nearby. Great restaurants within a few minutes walk. The hotel bar and restaurant were great. The staff was awesome and breakfast was a feast!

Mediocre hotel in a good location

Not a particularly warm welcome on arrival. Room was small and directly over outside seating so very noisy. Beds had duvet type covers over mattress to sleep on. I assume this is to disguise the appalling quality of the mattresses. The AC doesn’t seem to be controllable from the room so had to open window which let in even more noise. Parking is in an open public car park albeit behind a barrier but public can easily access cars at night. This should be highlighted by hotel as we wouldn’t have booked had we known the car park was so unsecure. Spa is small and drab.
Staff miserable at checkout.
Hotel is in a good location but didn’t feel like a 4* establishment.

Good... but.

A beautiful hotel, lovely rooms, and a very professional and warm welcome.
Well located for the Festspiele.
The city center of Bregenz is easily accessible on foot, enjoying a pleasant walk through the park and along the lake. This also allows for quick access to the train station for those arriving by train. The car parking is convenient and shared with the casino.
Room was spotless, bedding comfortable, pleasant bathroom, and toiletries were very good. It is evident that the establishment is well-managed.
However, the breakfast for a hotel of this caliber leaves a little to be desired: a Mercure does better. No option to request omelets or any special preparation. Having the MGallery in Vienna, there is no comparison possible on this point, which is largely to the disadvantage of the MGallery in Bregenz. Being next to the Seebühne does not make everything perfect.
We had considered swimming, but ultimately we did not, so we have no opinion to give.

Top

We had particularly good experiences with the hotel service staff. Aside from the prime location of the hotel (directly on the lakeside promenade, surrounded by several playgrounds, lounges, restaurants, theaters, casinos, etc.), we were able to experience a wonderful breakfast atmosphere with Ms. Kleber and her colleagues. All in all, the stay in the stylish hotel is highly recommended. You should bring your own hairdryer if needed. ;)
