Ibis - reliable quality

You can hardly go wrong with Ibis.
A very friendly and helpful lady greeted me at the reception.
Getting a guest card was tedious. But the young lady helped with angelic patience and success.
Quiet location despite being near the train station.
Not far to the lake and the festival hall.
If you don't want to have breakfast there, you can find several bakeries nearby.

Actually quite pleasant, but....

Very polite prior email correspondence, service was excellent, and the room was clean. Breakfast was very good. Surroundings a bit difficult. However, it was particularly annoying that the air conditioning did not work. And that at over 30 degrees!

A Budget hotel on the outskirts of the town centre, near the Hauptbahnhof and not far from the Bodensee or Lake Konstance in English.
Found the room satisfactory, no kettle for Coffee or tea. Bathroom was fine and shower was good.

Very close to the train station, so even if the weather is bad, IBIS is easy to get to. And they have large umbrellas to rent if you need one. The staff was very informative and willing to chat when they weren't otherwise occupied. While my stay was short, they had good suggestions that I want to explore when I return
