An excellent family-run hotel

The owners of Hotel Kirchenwirt, Manuela and Christian Wildeis, are always working and attentive to be sure the hotel and restaurant are providing the best service. The rooms are comfortable and pretty - exactly as shown on the website. The restaurant is excellent and the Wachau wine list was wonderful. Christian spent time talking about my wine and wine-pairing. The hotel is really nicely located in pretty village on the Danube. It’s quiet but great for strolling to adjacent vineyards, Danube viewpoints and local cafes and restaurants. There are some wineries in Weißenkirchen but Wachau wineries including those in Spitz and Dürnstein are all just a short drive along the river. Kremstal is just 15
Minutes east and Vienna is an hour’s drive away. Train station in Weißenkirchen too. I will stay here again.

Nice location, food fine

The staff is very friendly, the location is really nice, beautiful vaulted rooms. The food is fine but nothing more, we had an apricot bitter as an aperitif, which was mostly soda. Rehragout was ok but I already ate much better, backhendl and schnitzel were also fine, overall everything was very spartan, also the plates were 0815, we had expected much more here.

A dream, highly recommended.

Great hotel and host with excellent restaurant. We had a room in the arcade house, and that was perfect. So nice Mood, plus a great bed and great bathroom. Room has air conditioning, which is really great after a few hot days.

Small gem in the Wachau

We stayed in October from our department at the Hotel Kirchenwirt. It really is a very special hotel (in a positive sense). The rooms are divided into several buildings in Weißenkirchen and are all somehow individual. The decor of my room was very quaint and cozy. It was located in an old building. Immediately felt comfortable. The sleep quality from the bed was also great. The indoor climate was unique in the old walls.
Breakfast was really good too. Everything your heart desires. Egg dishes were ordered from the Service and freshly prepared.
The staff and owners were all extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a small gem and can be 100% recommended.

Hiking trip with family

A wonderful family-run romantic hotel, just to feel good. Located very idyllic in the wine village Weissenkirchen. Excellent breakfast and cuisine. You are warmly welcomed and feel with what love this hotel is run. Very nice new feel-good rooms. Will always come back!
