Just great!

We booked very spontaneously over New Year's Eve at the Seehotel Lackner am Mondsee and were there with our dog – and it could hardly have hit us better.
From the first moment we were welcomed by an extremely friendly and attentive team. You immediately notice that here is not simply “service made”, but real hospitality is lived.
Our room was large, bright and very nicely decorated – with a fantastic view of the lake and mountains, which was special every morning and evening.
The food was consistently of a very high standard – qualitative, taste and visual. We noticed the breakfast buffet particularly positively: Many foods are offered in small portions in glasses, which is sustainable and prevents guests from loading unnecessarily large amounts onto the plate. In addition, each guest gets their own pliers for the buffet, which makes the whole thing pleasantly hygienic. A thoughtful concept that you rarely see.
The sauna area is a real highlight: modern, spacious and with a great view of the lake – perfect for switching off and coming down.
Our dog was not only “allowed”, but really welcome. This makes a huge difference to us and clearly sets the hotel apart from many others.
We will definitely be back.

The best hotel in Austria

The best hotel in Austria: very friendly welcome, perfect service, beautiful location directly on the Mondsee with magnificent mountain views, excellent food and very nice rooms. We are always thrilled.

Hotel in a prime location with a great ambience - just to feel good!

Great hotel in absolute best location, very friendly staff, we felt in good hands.
Rooms top, all very clean, well-kept spa area, rich, appetizingly prepared breakfast buffet. Rooms decorated with great attention to detail, just to feel good!

Excellent

We stayed here for 5 days as part of a 4-week tour of Europe we planned ourselves. From the front the hotel is a bit inconspicuous just outside the village, but once inside it is great. We had a 3-room suite with a fantastic view of the lake and the Drachenfels (Dragons Rock). Suite was spacious, with a comfy sofa and chair, and a good bed. The hotel has a private shoreside with relax strechers, and a nice garden. Also worth mentioning is the panorama spa, sit in the sauna with a view! Mondsee itself is a charming village, most famous for the church that featured as the wedding location in the Sound of Music. Salzburg is half an hour drive, and Mondsee is surrounded by beautiful nature.
We also booked breakfast/dinner. The restaurant is great. Breakfast is very good. Scrambled eggs come fresh from the kitchen, and not out of a plastic bag. We had the luxury to take breakfast on the outside deck, in the sun and with a view on the lake. Fantastic! Dinner is great too, a different menu every day with a good selection of wines available. The restaurant has as reputation and we were not disappointed.
All in all highy recommended.
