A Truly Special Vegan Retreat in the Austrian Alps

We recently stayed at Haus26 in Austria and had an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Marieke and Bastiaan, who run this beautiful place with heart and attention to detail.
The rooms are spotless, modern, and full of alpine charm. The peaceful mountain surroundings make it the perfect place to unwind.
But the real highlight? The food. Everything is 100% plant-based, delicious, and beautifully presented. The breakfast buffet is fresh and varied each day, with homemade options that feel both nourishing and indulgent. The dinner is a true fine dining experience, creative, seasonal, and if desired, paired with excellent organic and natural wines. The lunch packages were perfect for taking on hikes: tasty and filling.
Haus26 is perfectly located near the Weissensee, with easy access to hiking trails, skiing, and quiet mountain villages. It's also a great stopover when travelling to Slovenia, Italy, or Croatia.
The Dutch owners Marieke and Bastiaan have created more than just a small hotel; it's a peaceful retreat where you can relax, recharge, and enjoy amazing vegan cuisine. Highly recommended!

Exzellente vegane Speisen

Zufällig entdeckt und schon zum zweiten Mal ein köstliches, kreatives, ausgezeichnet geschmackliches Menü genossen. Engagierte, leidenschaftliche Köchin und äußerst zuvorkommend Service. Auch für Nicht-Veganer zu empfehlen.

Ein Glücksgriff

Zufällig im Vorbeigehen entdeckt und Abendessen gebucht. Köstliche vegane Küche. Ein geschmackliches Erlebnis. Kreativ und liebevoll zubereitet. Holländisches Paar kocht auf und bietet auch tolle, perfekt neu ausgebaute Zimmer mit B&B oder Halbpension an. Sehr sympathische Leute!! Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend (obwohl ich eigentlich weniger auf der veganen Seite bin als meine Frau).

ehrliche Gastfreundschaft & außergewöhnliches Essen

was für ein Erlebnis! Marieke und Bastiaan gehören mit absoluter Sicherheit zu den herzlichsten und authentischsten Gastgebern, die uns jemals begegnet sind. Man merkt sofort, dass sich die beiden mit ihrem B&B einen Traum erfüllt haben, den sie jetzt mit voller Hingabe leben.
eines der absoluten Highlight ist auf jeden Fall die unglaubliche Küche - sowohl am Frühstückstisch als auch beim Abendessen (auch für Nicht-Hotelgäste reservierbar) wird man mit veganer Kulinarik auf höchstem Niveau verwöhnt.
Absolute Weiterempfehlung für Neugierige (auch Nicht-Veganer!) und Menschen, die Ehrlichkeit und Top-Qualität schätzen.

Vegane Gemütlichkeit

Ein sehr gelungenes und rundes Urlaubs-Erlebnis. Die Gastgeber sind mit ehrlicher Freude und viel Einsatz dabei!
Auch wenn man so wie wir nicht-Veganer ist schmeckt das Frühstück dennoch hervorragend. Man kann ja auch mal was neues probieren.
