Great summer freshness in a very beautiful setting and a fantastic hotel!
Very nice hotel, right in the middle of a dreamlike environment. Pleasant climate and the opportunity to take the gondola up to 2,200m.
The rooms are very nice. We had a Forest Deluxe double room. Room. Spacious, clean with a balcony overlooking the mountains. In the afternoon it was a bit stuffy, but after airing it out in the evening, it was fine. No AC, but it is usually not necessary. We just had a heatwave.
The only small point of criticism is that the door handle on the bathroom and toilet sometimes made it difficult to close because the latch got stuck in the lock, leaving the door ajar. One had to operate the door handle several times to resolve that issue.
The service was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was sufficient and very good. Breakfast buffet with a wide variety, and no matter when one arrived, it was fresh and adequately available. Lunch was okay and also sufficient. For dinner, one could choose from 3 main courses. Appetizer fixed, dessert fixed, and salad and soup from the buffet. So, 4 courses. The quality was good, not the best I have ever eaten, but certainly tasty and sufficient.
Leisure activities: Hiking, climbing garden, summer toboggan run (was still closed because it was the off-season), gondola to Aineck (with Katschberg Card 1 ride, up and down, free).
All in all, a nice short vacation, highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel for a short vacation.
A wonderful stay that left no wishes unfulfilled. I have rarely found a hotel where one is welcomed so familiarly and warmly. It was the birthday vacation for our 11-year-old daughter, and it was 100% the right decision to vacation here.

Perfect hotel for relaxing vacation days at Katschberg
As we have several times before, we had a very pleasant and restful stay at
Lärchenhof.
The romantic room was spacious, very clean, and comfortably furnished, making one feel at home immediately.
We particularly noticed the friendly and helpful staff… Hazim deserves special mention. Always nice and always in a good mood.
The junior managers, who are very present and attentive, give the establishment a personal touch. Especially Julia, with her warm personality, contributes to a family-friendly atmosphere.
The wonderful wellness area is indispensable.
Both breakfast and dinner were an absolute highlight of our stay—incredibly delicious, varied, and of very high quality.
We are already looking forward to returning
Lärchenhof.

Solid holiday, but where value for money is not right
The hotel makes a good impression at first glance, but this is clouded already at check-in. The welcome was friendly, but the receptionist seemed a bit overwhelmed. Since we were travelling in a larger group and we were the last to arrive, we were not much explained, we were asked about dinner and explained that probably the indoor pool "would be out of order". Our booked family room was very small and consisted of a bedroom, small bathroom and a small children's room with bunk bed, here was a pity that this could not be properly ventilated. The room as well as the whole place were very clean and every day our bed was made and clean towels brought.
At dinner there was always a children's dish, if you wanted to order a schnitzel, so this had to be paid extra. The food indicated in the menu often did not match what was served in the evening. They were only small amendments, but still. Palatinate ham without jam and then with other jam than indicated, side dishes that were not right or Bruscetta waiting that way too hard. All in all, the food was tasty and always very appetizing.
The lunch buffet was manageable. A soup, salads and a small cake plate. The fruit basket mentioned in the description was filled only once in our holiday week, in the end there were only two oranges left. For the children there was no offer, there was also no butter to be found at lunch and also inquire, this was not brought. The tables at lunch were also neglected, food scraps, plates and stains on the tables were not uncommon.
The breakfast buffet was adequate and nicely covered, there was also a vegan corner. Coffee was from the vending machine, I expect something else in the 4-star hotel.
It was a pity that they did not refill the buffet on New Year's Eve, despite the 25% price surcharge. We were standing a little further back in line and did not get any more sushi and this was not refilled, also semolina or other soup liners have often run out.
The indoor pool was unfortunately cold for three days and therefore not to use, on request we were told "Go over to the Katschberg".
When checking out, was also here not padded with kindness. Paying for three rooms on one bill was an almost impossible affair and paying by credit card and bill became a challenge. I don't think many guests take a higher amount in cash on holiday.
For children there is a small children's playroom with a slide, which is already somewhat old and would certainly be happy about some attention. But our children loved playing in it.
All the service and cleaning staff were always very friendly and endeavoured, I think it is more due to other things that make the stay not exactly 4-star worthy.

Christmas on the mountain
We spent relaxing days before Christmas. Room a bit too warm but solved with the balcony door open. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner menu. Staff very friendly.
