We had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location was great.
One thing to be aware of is that the rooms do not have air conditioning, which could be an issue during a summer heatwave.
We also found the breakfast to be overpriced for the selection offered, so we chose not to have breakfast at the hotel.
Overall, we had a good experience and would happily stay here again.

Awful pillows , it was like sleeping on a twisted towel !!! It gave me neck pain !!
Also the shower-room was designed so bad that we could slip and hurt ourselves , they have to come up with a better design !!!

Little insider tip in the Wipptal!

Nice hotel right on the main road on the north-south axis. Very friendly and familiar looking staff, who took care of my little one especially dear. Nothing was missing - on the contrary, we were explicitly pointed out to many small extras that the hotel offers. So I also came to relax sauna sessions while watching Junior Film (only criticism, the spa area could stay open a little longer). The cuisine is excellent - should also try non-hotel guests - very many local specialties on the menu. And the reason we came was because of the ski resorts, some of which are in the immediate vicinity. We will definitely come back!

Hallo! Vielen Dank für deine großartige Bewertung und das wunderbare Feedback. Es freut uns riesig, dass du und dein Junior eine so gute Zeit bei uns im Wipptal hattet!
Dass unser Team euch so verwöhnen konnte und du dadurch ein paar entspannte Sauna-Sessions erwischt hast, ist genau das, was wir uns unter Urlaub vorstellen. Deinen Punkt mit den Öffnungszeiten der Spa-Area nehmen wir absolut ernst – danke für den Hinweis! Wir prüfen intern direkt, wie wir hier für noch mehr Flexibilität sorgen können, damit die Entspannung in Zukunft noch länger dauert.
Ein dickes Danke auch für das Lob an unsere Küche und das tolle Feedback zu den umliegenden Skigebieten.
Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf euren nächsten Besuch – die Pisten (und die Sauna) warten auf euch!

We stayed one night at this hotel on our way from Dolomites to Innsbruck. The room was old but comfortable. Shower cabin was small to move around without hitting the shower gel dispenser…Most surprisingly the body towels were very small and we also think they need replenishment. Check-out was at 10.30 (which is early by most hotel standards) and a service maid entered the room without waiting for a response right away at 10.00. We felt like she wanted to warn us that we should leave soon. Overall, not good value for we paid. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but we had dinner which was very good. However, their interpretation of vitello tonato is different than a classic one.

Very nice hotel

The parkhotel matrei is a very nice hotel. The staff will do everything to make you feel comfortable. Now for the third time and next time we will stay there again.

Hallo! Ontzettend bedankt voor je trouwe bezoek en deze geweldige review. Voor de derde keer alweer – dat maakt ons echt super trots!
